Had a work order come through this morning that a local apartment complex needed our services.

The apartment was empty and management was in the process of cleaning it in order to rent it out again.

Went into the apartment started doing the work and opened up the cabinet above the stove...and there it was.

IMO either the previous tenant left it there or management/maintenance is using that apartment as a temporary stash area.

A coworker of mine identified it as crack rock.

I have previous experience in law enforcement and it definitely looked like crack to me.
When I sent the picture to my coworker he didn't hesitate in his assessment.

that is several hundred dollars worth of it and might be pushing a grand these days. My guess is that was a dealers apartment and he just forgot that little mini stash was there.

Notified the apartment manager and my manager as well.

Definitely crack.

Speed (meth) typically has a pinkish hue. But always some tint.

That's an 8 ball - 3.5 grams

I have no idea what crack goes for these days
