I hope this wakes up the posters who get all giddy when the Saints are ranked high in those silly mean nothing power rankings.
Anyway what counts is how you play in the playoffs. We are in now so for all I care they could just sit the starters until the playoffs because except for 2009 the high seeding has benefited us none. Home field advantage will matter very little even for teams like the Packers. Only good thing that came out of today
was no serious injuries.

Very true that the power rankings didn’t matter. But it’s also true they won’t matter this week. We are still a very good team who had a really bad game. Every team has had at least one now. It’s still true that if I am a fan of another NFC team, it’s the Saints I would least like to see in the playoffs.

The biggest factor playoff wise is the bye week. That's still a definite reality for us. We didn't really even look like the same team this week at every level. Hopefully this loss will light a fire in this team to finish strong and in the playoffs.

Hate to say it, but Hill against KC doesn't look promising after today's showing. ST and Defense may step it up, but I don't see the Offense changing much. We'll need to have the firepower to keep up with KC. Hope I'm wrong.

I thought the play calling was just as bad as anything in our offensive performance today. But honestly what we seem to be forgetting is that Taysom is at QB because Drew is injured. We should be happy we've won 9 games straight before today all things considered. It looks like Drew should be back in the regular season, hopefully next week. But Taysom is not the sole reason we lost this game today. We really just didn't look good as a team today.

Power rankings have never mattered in the NFL in the super Bowl ERA. what matters is win and losses period.

If Drew doesn't start against KC we are in serious trouble.

Hill made some bad mistakes that led to a loss of points on the board. Fumbles, hanging on to the ball for a long time, etc. Sure, he isn't the sole reason, but he didn't do a good job of leading the Offense today. Brees probably won't be back next week by all accounts- it's been reported that he's still not ready. If he is, it may be too soon. We'll see. We will need a strong offensive showing to keep up with KC.

Any Saints fan who eats the cheese probably wasn't a Saints fan during the lean years.

The way I see it is that we probably lose the next two...most definitely if Hill continues at QB and lose the division. Then just like the last two years we will be one and done in the playoffs. Glad I sat through that crap today.
We won't beat KC next week but the Minnesota game will be the difference. Lose that one and I won't have hope that we can get that bye.
