It feels so good to be a winning franchise. We are talked about as an elite team 3 years running. Coming to the dome is now the equivalent of going to the staple center. 60-34 in the Drew Brees era. Thy cup truly runneth over. I've seen 2 Heisman trophy winning backs help increase ticket sales. Wide receivers from Toledo and Hofstra. Two guys who catch everything thrown their way who also could care less about the amount of touches they get a game as long as the TEAM wins. Two guys that the Chargers didn't love enough to put a ring on it, now are married to this city and we gonna definitely treat em right. We are winners! and my cup overfloweth. Whodat

I was never ashamed to be a Saints fan, but the last 6 years, I'm downright proud.

Amen... I have stood proud as a Saints Fan for 45 years listening to all of the derisive jokes.... But I still welcome the bandwagonners... Its great to be part of the Nation of Who Dats.... But for guys like us I think the pride and joy reigns just a bit stronger

Amen, my cup runneth over as well, brothers AmerVet, insidejob, bobad and NeverGiveUP2.

Lord, Thou art our Shepherd, we shall not want and we thank Thee for Thy blessings. Yea, though boastful dirty birds shalt pecketh and claweth at Thine Saints, grant Thy Saints wisdom and strength, courage and swiftness to overcome and defeat the boastful dirty birds so that their vain boasting is silenced.

So let it be written. So let it be done.

Bless ye, boys!

being a saints fan for all that time i'm sure you've seen all the bad seasons. i was born on the back end of all the really bad seasons and never had too much paper bag saints seasons. with the Sean Payton/Drew Brees era overshadowing all those down years i've experienced it makes me very proud to be a Saints fan even when others try to bring up the very bad years of the past.

so whenever someone speaks on our horrible years i just point to that Super Bowl ring and smile :hihi::ezbill:

I've been a Saints' fan since '86. Even when I knew there was no chance of making the playoffs and a 8-8 season was a "good year", I still talked mad trash. Now I do it TWICE as much with PRIDE. Especially to my Eagles loving brother who talked all kinds of smack. I've been hearing his mouth since Philly beat us in the playoffs back when Hebert was our QB. The 2006 regular season was a great year. We beat them twice. Once during the regular season and again in the playoffs. Now, I don't even hear his mouth run. Cause he knows what's coming if he does get brave... Got Lombardi? :ezbill: Nope!!

It's an amazing time to be a Saints fan. Enjoy it everyone because who knows if we'll even be a viable playoff team when Brees/Payton are gone.

That's a great story! Thanks for posting it. "Now, I don't even hear his mouth run". LMAO It's great to be in the catbird seat, isn't it?:9:

I agree. I remember when the Saints were so bad that people didnt even really make fun of me for being a Saints fan. They pitied me. I'll take hate or envy over pity any day!

Funny thing is, I think he gave up on the NFL altogether. Now he claims to be a bigger fan of College ball. <a href="http://s120.photobucket.com/albums/o195/Specnatz/?action=view&amp;current=signs019.gif" target="_blank"><img src="http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o195/Specnatz/signs019.gif" border="0" alt="BS"></a>

Yeah, till they make the playoffs again, huh? :hihi:
