We had Cam on big money and paying the bust. Had no choice but to let him walk.

We quite obviously made the wrong call with Trey, but he only had the one yr of production. Before that he was under sized and injured most of the time. He bulked up and remained healthy, so we lost out. It is only in hindsight that parting with him, seems like an incompetent decision.

That wasn't the cap. That was poor decision making. The Saints have signed who they wanted. They chose potential over performance. They backed the draft position instead of the player.

It wasn't a matter of Davenport vs T-Rex.

It was a matter of Marcus Williams vs T-Rex. The Saints could only afford to keep one, they chose Williams, who they then lost in free agency exactly one season later

People complain about our drafting and the roster being old. But overall we let a lot of good players leave after their rookie deal.
