So far in 2024 we’ve witnessed two different Saints teams. The healthy one that dominated Carolina and Dallas and the very unhealthy one that has lost two close games despite the numerous injuries.
I know injuries aren’t supposed to be an excuse but in this case you can make the exception in my opinion.

We saw a team with no film. Things are only going to get tougher from here on out especially in the state that the team is in.

2010s we wasted great offenses with bad defenses. Now we are in the era of great defenses being wasted by bad playcalling

Yes. The Panthers and Cowboys really didn't know what to expect from the Saint offense but...

The difference between the first two weeks and the last two weeks largely comes down to execution.

It's a head-scratcher. Usually, execution improves over the season. Maybe we got lucky the first two weeks but the execution was lights out. The last two weeks, as Dennis Allen said, "We can't get out of our own way."
