U.S. court: Mass surveillance program exposed by Snowden was illegal

Yeah but some people do not want him pardon as he committed espionage and people say he sold out his country. I know innocent til proven guilty. But really hope the truth come on out. If not and if he did sell out his country, really he brought it on himself. Nobody to blame but himself.

I think it is a fool that equates telling the people of a country about their governments illegal violation of their rights with selling out the country. Especially if you are defining the country by the people who live there.

If by country it is meant the government apparatus that is focused on its own empire, then yeah, he sold out those evil souls in favor of the people.

Also remember James Clapper lied to congress when he denied the data collection was happening at all. People have been indicted for lying to congress about a date something happened, but Clapper lying about the largest civil rights violation ever and nothing happens to him.

Remember kids, lying to Congress is wrong, unless you are politically connected on the right sides.

What he exposed is the antithesis of what this county was founded upon. The U.S. Constitituon is the supreme law of the land and the government instituted mass surveillance. That is a no no. Thanks for commenting though.

Snowden pardon talk heating up. He may get it.

I tend to lean towards he was a traitor. But, I simply do not know what all occurred and admit my position is based on poor research on my part. ETA...I do agree with that one spook leader who said surveillance has kept the world from WW3. If it were me, I would sentence him to time served in exile and make him a free person I think.

Hypothetical: if you knew the leaked information cost the lives of U.S. servicemen, what would you think?

Then the people in charge of putting together the illegal surveillance system should be charged with their murders as collateral damage for running through the constitution. This wasnt a grey area.

This shouldn't have taken 7 years either.

Yeah sacrificing servicemen is a huge leap. Even the people in the government have said it’s stopped exactly 0 crimes, though the cynic in me thinks that it had nothing to do with that in the long run anyway.

Just to clarify, I said information leaked.
