I hate this part of the off season. We get a good 4 months of draft and free agent stuff to talk about..now its over. Sure we'll get a little tease in a week with rookie minicamps, but very little info comes from those things.

Then the real wait begins until training camp. Argh!!!! What am I to do?

I read somewhere that NFL Game Rewind with the All-22 coaches film is 24.99 right now. Im thinking about subscribing, and spending that time doing some heavy film study on the 3-4 system, Rob Ryan, and our current defensive players.

The biggest deadzone to me was after the Sean Payton re-instatement until the draft. We can still make moves so it's not as bad as it looks. I am So looking forward to the building of this years team and training camp.

Yeah, May - August is absolutely horrible. No good sports to watch, as Baseball lost me during the Sosa-McGwire home run race year, and what is worse, it starts getting warm outside so the wife makes me do crap yardwork. It is a 4 month hell I live through every year. I pray for Global cooling so it is 30 degrees outside year round.

yes.. it is that time of the year no doubt. But as I've discovered. The SaintsReport.com website is one of the ways I get through this time of year. Sure it gets tough sometimes, and the content here can get weird and sometimes stray away from Saints Football, and that's all fine and everything, but sometimes just not what were looking for as far as "Saints" news. (i'm referring to this down time of the year, not criticizing the content at saintsreport.com )

Every now again, someone breaking down film, and discussing things such as the switch to 3-4 can really help these down times.

Why else do you think some of those threads behind the levee are so long.. it is to occupy our time until there's more football to talk about it :)

I was thinking the same thing. Personally, I have four solutions:

(1) watch Game of Thrones.

(2) "books" - little things full of paper that you can "read" when you're bored.

(3) gin

(4) watch YouTube videos from the 2006 and 2009 seasons.

Rookie camp will be starting soon....

Football is all year round brah. Rehash old topics and speculation makes the world go round.

The good thing for me is that football starts for me in July. I get an appetizer with the CFL.

ESPN has the same problem. But they have Tebow.

From the end of the last minicamp to training camp is always the worst part of the sports year, just have to muddle through somehow...

Yeah, it sucks.

Soon the most exciting post on here will be that some street FA lifted weights in shorts.
