Underhill: I still think there’s a Keenan Allen proposition post-draft depending on what happens in the draft (1 Viewer)

I'm all for it if Moore thinks Allen has something to contribute to a team that doesn't figure to be very good in his first year as coach. As for draft prospects, I can understand where there's concerns with McMillan and things like lack of separation after the snap. Two other examples in the past 10 years of similarly sized guys who had size but not separation were Kelvin Benjamin and Sammy Watkins.

 Are we that desperate for another WR?
He's solid guy but getting up there in years.
We need offensive playmakers. This WR draft class has WR2s but not any immediate high impact players. Secondary and OL needs depth more to where the 2nd round may not really make sense for WR either.

We can save a high pick to be used on getting a starter elsewhere. Make the WR unit deeper by potentially adding a 5x 100 catch receiver in Allen on a short term deal. With Olave and Sheed on the outside, Allen (and Cooks) could still produce high reception #s from the slot. Allen’s still a physical WR who can move the chains in intermediate routes at a high level.
