Very odd that Nick would "know" exactly how many interviews that Saints intend to perform one day after the season ends.. Seems like he is being told to put out a large number in the media.
Agree, the last few years says this is all so Loomis can say he did a thorough search when he inevitably hires Aaron Glenn.

The team has had weeks, months even to prepare for this. They aren’t suddenly deciding who they want to interview in real time as we become aware of the interview request reports that come out.

They likely have been waiting to interview that specific number of coaches they’ve been knowing for weeks.

It's almost like part of his job is to find out information about the Saints.

He didn't say it was exactly 12. He tweeted 12 in response to a question and later said 12 or 13. He also said 12 or 13 on his YouTube video before the game yesterday. I'm sure it's just based on the names he has heard they are looking to interview. They are already up to 5 or 6 names that they have requested or scheduled interviews with.

I have been talking about Kafka for a few years. When everyone was praising Bieniemy in KC, it was Kafka who was behind the success of the passing game, etc. I'm a little concerned now though. Kafka could be the fall guy in New York as the Giants have struggled offensively.

The million dollar question is: just who the heck will make the decisions on who will be the new Saints HC???

The same ones who decided that DA was the answer????

smh

I might be wrong. But I think many are being too hard on Loomis. When Loomis hired Payton, it wasn't because he was the more experienced or most sought-after candidate. I thought there were better options. I believe he was a QB coach for Dallas, and he was demoted while with the Giants. But he was the one who "Wowed" Loomis the most even if he was maybe the most inexperienced.

I understand the DA hire because the thinking was that the fall-off in Payton's last year was injuries, etc. and that the train would stay on the tracks with DA. Now that that's clearly not the case, I don't think he changes from wanting to be "Wowed" rather than someone he knows. And if it is someone like AG, it will be because he gave the best interview, not because Loomis knows him.
Payton was Assistant Head Coach and QB coach in Dallas, not just QB coach. And the city was in shambles and I can't think of better prospects at the time that were looking to come here.

I've come to terms Saints aren't firing Mickey! Maybe a football hits him in the head, then he hire Sean Payton 2.0 . I can dream, it's the off-season. 😂

There is Kellen Moore hype?
I haven't seen/read much, and there probably ought to be more? He's successfully lead the Eagles offense this year by hiding a middling throwing QB (Hurts) and putting the load onto Saquon. He had some very good years in DAL doing a little bit of the same. They were very highly ranked in points and yardage. He has a decent amount of the hallmarks you look for in a young coordinator; success in different schemes/ways, creative usage with plenty of motion and high pace, really good run game and some practical playing experience. He's not a bad guy to be talking to imo.

I think the beat writers understand that the average fan isn’t that smart and half of them are below that.
Proven once again today, looking at other Saints social media reaction to routine, annual reserves/future contract deals. Just… anger. Anger at everything. Even routine mundane stuff. Anger about the team performance on an RIP post for the young man who worked in the multimedia department. People really have terrible impulse control. The last thing we need is journalism reflecting that. I was embarrassed to read that crap on a condolences post for a team employee who had zero impact on the on-field performance. Just pitiful, lousy fanhood and it’s despicable. That type of nonsense gets under my skin than even the worst blowout loss. Be better humans.
