We played against the best defence in football. The one that had 11 sacks last week.

And we played 2 back-ups at right guard.

Did you notice? Me neither. And we should be happy about that.

Congratulations to both, and a speedy recovery to Josh and Peat.

And Jermon? We will be happy to have you back, when you are ready.

Yes indeed.

Only 1 sack given up.

Protected Brees beautifully in the critical 4th quarter.

Cameron Tom is going to be a good one. Might still be here in 6 years. Glad they have such a good OL that they don't have to rush the guy. He is a beast and from what I hear he is also a brainiac to boot.

And that sack was on Josh Hill. He was protecting against Suggs with no help. Can’t complain about that.

The offensive line played an extraordinary game today.

Don't forget trequan he had a couple of really good catches probably should of had a td if the dB wasn't holding and drew threw it a few inches shorter

Excellent thread, Guillermo. In the midst of all the other topics on the discussion board, your point is well taken. The Saints' OL (overall), although they didn't dominate, WON the battle in the trenches, IMO.

:gosaints:

They played Left Guard but yeah, nice play by them today. Only spots I saw the drop off was interior running on the left side. But man Armstead shows his speed on those stretch plays!

You are correct, I should read and edit before posting. Where did I get that right guard thing?

and coach should also get props for sticking with the run in the 1st to set up good run/pass mix in the 2nd

I would like to think the effort by the offensive line today was a shout out to our ailing brother back home, Jermon Bushrod.

One other unsung hero- Ben Watson. He had some clutch catches today.

Hard to think Payton could be an unsung hero from today but, imo, he is. Down 17-7, how many times would we have abandoned the run game? We didn't this time and it paid off.

I honestly didn't think we could beat the Ravens in this kind of game....glad I was wrong.
