Pretty sure it was his 11-37 record that got him fired. I think the year he got fired was Carr’s rookie year.

had two 4-12 seasons, then started that next season 0-4, which led to his firing. He didn’t have Carr those first 2 years. So people are just not a leader of men.

I can't believe this team fell for the perennial being in a bad organization held him back poison apple.

This year he is having by far his worst year. But you can look back the last couple of seasons and see the decline beginning.

No, DA got fired because he is absolutely pathetic at being a head coach. There are no excuses. He had a bad roster in Oakland and sucked, he had a good roster here and sucked, at the end of the day he just sucks at being a head coach.

I'm starting to feel everyone wants to be bad like Sean and Drew, they want to act tough, but it's all talk. Instead of trying to manage expectations and bring Dalton back, he went all in with a nonelite guy as a defensive coach. Instead of being humble and accepting that you're part of the problem, you (Carr) deflect and point at other people.
This so embarrassing as a Saints fan.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.
I just couldn't remember what all the issues were during his Raider tenure.
Until recently, I was pulling for the guy.
I've since given up hope that he can fire up this team to play better.

Derek Carr had nothing to do with Dennis Allen getting fired. As has been said in the thread a bunch of times, Dennis Allen being a terrible head coach is the reason Dennis Allen got fired.

I’d be appreciative if history repeated itself. Carr would be considered a savior and it would undo all his bad this year
