named Joe Banyard... from University of Texas - El Paso... 3-year deal for a rookie free agent after he did a "try out" last week...

Got this from nola.com:
Banyard (5-11, 213) spent his final two years of college eligibility at Texas-El Paso where he rushed for 1,490 yards with 14 touchdowns. As a senior in 2011, he rushed for 867 yards with six touchdowns on 127 carries to go with 12 receptions for 67 yards. The Sweetwater, Texas native played two seasons at UTEP after transferring from Texas Christian. He was originally signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars following the 2012 NFL Draft.

Didn't see it posted... Can I say one word... CHAMPIONSHIP! OK, that is all back to the bushes... lol :D

Geaux Saints!

wasn't impresses with him and not sure that is correct

3? What happened to the fourth one?

Looks like we are signing new players every day. When are we going to sign Brees and our own draft picks. this is driving me up the walls every time I see Saints sign a player and it's not one of ours.

Chris Taylor and PT looked good in camp. Ingram still walks with a limp. Ivory pulled a hamstring on first day of mini camp but Vitt say it was minor. Wonder how minor....? Oh, i forgot about the rookie back free agent we signed from App. State #39.

Actually we have two backs thats healthy. Banyard camp body or could be a steal....

I thought there was some guy wearing 43 that looked pretty good.

But even so I hope this Barnyard kid does well.

So we have 6 RBs?

Noticed that he did kickoff returns in college. I wonder if that's what they signed him for.

those numbers look good if they were from one season lol. he did have a high YPC though.

My personal thought is, good! Im glad we're not forgetting the lesson that 2010 taught us. You can NEVER have too many quality backs. Another thing that comes to my mind is... I think we're going to pound the ball more this year. I know were already an efficient running team, but we lacked volume (rushing attempts). I think this year we're going to pound it slightly more. Lastly, look at some of our RB's. ALL of them got dinged up last year except Sproles. At the end of that Niners games he had to be gassed.
