2025 New Orleans Saints Schedule

Home: Falcons, Buccaneers, Panthers, Cardinals, 49ers, Giants, Patriots, Jets

Away: Falcons, Buccaneers, Panthers, Rams, Seahawks, Bears, Bills, Dolphins, Titans

With absolutely no analytics nor knowledge of draft, (lack of) free agency and potential front office and certain coaching moves, what is your way too early prediction for the 2025 New Orleans Saints?

I'm going with 5-12 again.

Seems like the NFC South will be harder next year. Penix played pretty well in his few starts and Young has shown improvement. Playing the NFC West is pretty rough.

On the easier side the AFC East has Pat and Jets which will be winnable games. Having the 4th places schedule gets us games against the Titans, Giants, and Bears which are all teams at various stages of rebuild.

We went 2-4 in the division this year, I think we might be the worst team in the South next year so I am going 1-5 with a win over the Falcons at home.

Looking at the other bad teams we play I think the Pats, Bear and Giants will be way more improved then us next year.

I think the floor is 3-14 and the ceiling is maybe 7-10. Right now I will go with my gut and say we end up 6-11 next year.

I need to know who the coach is first and foremost, so I'll list out records based on a few coaches

Aaron Glenn : 5-12 (this is actually me giving the benefit of the doubt, I would expect more like 3-14)
Joe Brady or Ben Johnson : 7-10
Matt Nagy : 2-15
Vrabel : 8-9

I personally think Joe Brady and Ben Johnson would be best. I have them low in record only because they would be rookie head coaches and a roster devoid of talent. Vrabel I gave a bit of a better record because of his experience, but I also think his ceiling is playoffs and won't win a superbowl

I’m going somewhere on the 5-6 win area. There are too many holes to fill. A better coaching staff can get more out of the DL which I feel really underachieved in many ways. They absolutely need a starting guard. I knew what was going to happen this year when we went into the season with like 6 candidates for that position. We need a young powerful running back. We also need those guys, I’m not sure what you call them but they run fast and catch the ball that’s thrown. Whatever they are called we need about 4 of them. IF they get that, and IF they get a creative winner like Payton, we may get to 8 wins. But that’s pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

Way too early to tell. The AFC schedule isn't bad and you get the Giants again and the Bears.

Giants, Pats, Jets, Titans and Bears could be winnable. Figure they will beat the Panthers or Falcons at least once probably.

Home: Falcons, Buccaneers, Panthers, Cardinals, 49ers, Giants, Patriots, Jets

Away: Falcons, Buccaneers, Panthers, Rams, Seahawks, Bears, Bills, Dolphins, Titans

Wins: Giants, Pats, Jets, Panthers, Bears, Titans
Losses: Falcons X2, Bucs X2, Panthers, Cardinals, Niners, Rams, Seahawks, Bills, Dolphins

6-11

Improvement haha

Zero chance we land Vrabel or Johnson. Vrabel is coaching the Pats next year and I have feeling Johnson takes the Bears or Jags job. Not nearly as sold on Joe Brady as you are. He was horrible in Carolina as the OC and now has Allen so it's just hard for me to know how much he is bringing to the table.

I think Glenn is going to get the job unless someone else snags him early and while I agree its likely a rough 1st year, I think he could be a good coach long term.

He really wasn't horrible like everyone says for some odd reason. Likely because he just got fired by Matt Rhule and take it at face value. But Teddy Bridgewater had a career year there under Joe Brady as did their RB at the time Mike Davis. The 2nd year, when Brady was fired, players said it was because they never practiced redzone. Based on Matt Rhules interview, that directive may have been made by Rhule, as Brady stressed red zone practices every he's been before and after Carolina

I'm not there yet.
Have to see how the roster is constructed.

3 - 14 to 7 - 10
Maybe if we make make good personnel changes, front office and coaching, we can get to seven wins. A complete turn around will take 2 years minimum.
Then again, if we just keep doing business as we always have we'll be worse next year.

I have two predictions -

Loomis stays and band aid’s the cap, kicks the can further down the road, hires Aaron Glenn and forces him to retain several of the current staff. The team is non competitive in most games. They finish 3-14

Loomis goes. A tough rebuild begins with emphasis on getting the salary cap fixed. The team hires Ben Johnson/Mike Vrabel who begins rebuilding the roster. They fight hard in each and every game, they mostly lose but you can see an improving team who will be very competitive in a season or two. The finish 5-12 to 7- 10.
