We have something we haven't had in a long time - depth. @ least on paper.

O-line depth is a little weak, but not by much.

LB was my biggest weakness after o-line, but the signing of Anthony Barr took care of that. Wish we hadn't lost Trai Turner though.

This defense is dominant, and is only going to get stronger as the season goes along. Secondary is the greatest strength, and can shut down any passing attack out there.

Barr gives us the Kaden Ellis role back. I love this pickup. Kwon Alexander would have been better, but if wishes were wings, they could fly. Lol.

I was worried about the d-line, but all the reports are that this is not going to be a problem. Turner and Granderson are playing lights out in practice, and Bresee is balling out.

On offense, we have the best QB room in the NFL. Bar none. WR, after the big 3 is a bit unknown, but we make up for it with the TE room. RB - OMG. Alvin, Jamaal, and Kareem have all been starters in this league. And, our secret weapon is - of course - Taysom Hill. Who do you stop.

The only real threat to hold us back is coaching. Dennis Allen and Sneaky Pete will be key to this season. If they have learned from Last year's mistakes, look out NFL.

What do y'all think about my roster projection. Any changes that should be made.

Not so fast. There are questions and clear weaknesses. In the offensive line, Peat cannot stay healthy, and there is little quality depth. At wide receiver, we don't know what Thomas will do. On defense, we are at best adequate at defensive tackle--is Bresee a tackle or an end?-- and safety. And we have no depth at linebacker. My biggest concerns are the offensive line and defensive tackle.

I must agree with the pessimist perspective at this time. Both lines are full of questionable strengths and known weaknesses.

The most optimistic honest perspective is that we have good offensive skill positions and a good secondary, so if we score quickly we can succeed.

The roster is solid. Theres a lot of things that need to go our way as far as injuries to repeat offenders, but yes, the roster is solid. Injuries are always a major factor with this team, every year we are leading the league in total starters or games missed or players on IR. But lets say we have injury luck this year and we remain relatively healthy......the biggest question is, can a solid veteran roster overcome a well below average coaching staff? I have no idea how this is going to play out. We could be 6-11 or 12-5.

The best QB we play is Kirk Cousins? Trevor Lawrence?

It is downright absurd the QBs we DONT play in 2023....Mahomes, Burrow, Hurts, Allen, Herbert, Jackson, Rodgers, Wilson, Prescott.......

That just leaves zero room for excuses if Allen cant win. There cant be too many teams in the league that avoid nearly the entire top 10 QB list. Its a QB driven league....and you play none of the elite QBs. No excuses.
