Whether it's through FA or the draft or a combination, we need a serious infusion of talent at the TE position.

I think that's the overriding reason why the 3rd down numbers have declined.

We ought to go after Ed Dickson from the Panthers. He has receiving ability that is not being used in the Panthers offense. He'd give us a 500-yard type of TE who is also a great blocker. He's a lot like Ben Watson was pre-Saints. This should be our #1 free agent TE target in the offseason, and draft one too.

What's hard is if you going to continue this power run west coast offence we will need an all pro TE, who can block and catch, also have speed or great rout running, since our division linebackers are some of the fastest one the nfl
Add the brees small window. We would need an already develop TE. And a great one for us to notice them on the field.
