What do you do in this situation?



Sometimes the choice is made for us and we must get up but often you're in that middle ground: you could get up and go or you could stay in bed and fall back asleep


I'm usually a get up and go guy. It may take longer to fall back asleep but I'm always more comfortable

Since you asked - I’ve never had much trouble getting up /im not big on lounging in bed (contrary to most every female I’ve ever cohabited with)
But my morning ablution is a commitment- I must be ‘empty’ before morning dog walk
I can take no chances

I can “squeeze out” another hour if I flip from my back to my side, so if morning approaches I’m staying put.

Otherwise I get up.

Unless I have to get up in the morning (retired now), and morning approaches in the sweet spot of getting up, and I’ve made too many recent withdrawals from the marital bank. In that case, I turn off the alarm so my wife doesn’t get pissed at me because of the alarm, and I use my bladder as a snooze.

So, you asked and the answer is, it’s a whole thing with an enlarged prostate.

I’ve recently just started getting up. I changed my morning workout time because of it. I used to wake up at 6 to go for my run and then light weight-lifting, then shower, then head to work. Until my bladder decided to get very regular at freakin 4:50 a.m. a few months ago. I tried to fight it for that hour and 10 minutes but then it became pointless. Now, I just get up and start the day earlier. I am starting to go to bed a little earlier though, so there’s that little bi-product.
