Obviously a lot will happen between now and the draft, but this focus is for acquiring the QB you need for the next decade.

*Sadly, move on from Carr via trade/restructure or designated post June 1 cut. Turn the offense on its head. Trade assets and higher value 2026 assets preferred.

On draft day, unless there’s a QB this team is 100% sure about or there’s incredible value i.e Rattler in the 5th, focus on building an offense. Offensive skill players, and value BPAs. Trade down unless you can’t live without them, and elect for a round earlier future pick instead of a 2025 pick.

Give Rattler a full off season to be the guy. He has potential and maybe the future is already on the roster. If he isn’t, and that’s obviously a very real possibility, use those draft assets to go up and get Arch or whoever next season.

Make it happen Loomis

*sadly, because Carr is criminally underrated but I think he’s best suited elsewhere with a new regime direction.

IF your plan doesn't consist of clearing out $60+ million from our cap by mid March, sadly it is not an achievable plan.
They can save 30M with a post June 1 cut, I’ve heard. I think they can do better if a team with cap space wants him

1) Cut Carr with June 1st designation. We have to carry his cap hit until then.

2) Restructure Cam, Taysom, McCoy, Ruiz, Granderson, Demario, Tyrann

3) Re-sign Young to lower his cap hit to around 5 million

4) Extend Moreau to lower his cap hit.

5) Cut Jamal Williams

6) Let every other FA walk to get as many comp picks as possIble.

These moves get us cap compliant where we can sign some minimum contracts.

June 1st we gain 30 million in cap space. Use this to sign the draft picks. Roll over whatever is left to next season.

This will allow us to start the 2026 offseason with around 70 million in cap space, we can move off anyone we want and sign anyone we want to get the team shaped in Moore’s vision.

I love this plan. Find out what they have in Rattler this season and if he’s not the answer, then use draft capital to go up and get the QB they identify as being the next franchise QB in 2026.
