I'm unsure if an assistant with a different voice would be enough to change this team, but I would like to know what others think.

Nothing. There’s nothing that a firing would do mid season.

I think changing the play caller could help enough, then in the off-season go get someone who’s young and innovative to come in and install a whole new offense.

I mean I’d rather them fire the whole staff, but I’m not sure Loomis or Benson will do that.

Clean house including Loomis. It was the height of arrogance to hire Allen No. 1. Then retain him and Carmichael was absolute insanity. Then to top it off, you think pairing a bottom 5 HC with an overpaid middle of the pack QB is going to change anything.

They need to all go.

I think we are going to sail right into 5-12 and depending on how long our losing streak is to end the season, not make any changes in coaching till the season ends. Pete might quit if the pressure gets to be too much. It wouldn’t surprise me though if Pete is let go on a Monday and is coaching the following Sunday for CSP.

Theres no hope in sight. They retained him and Pete after last season, and his record is the very, very close to the bottom all time. In fact, the only HC in NFL history who made it 5 years with a less than .300 win % is David "You Cant Fire Me Because Im The Son of Don" Shula - and lets be honest, there were very few coaches that couldve succeeded in Cincinatti during that era. They didnt have a winning record from 1991-2005. This isnt that. This franchise knew how to win.

We're in almost unchartered territory in NFL history with Dennis Allen and his lack of ability as a HC. I just dont understand how he keeps going. Just let it sink in....He is only 1 of 2 head coaches in the HISTORY of this league with a sub .300 win % and was allowed to be a HC into his 5th year and the only other was with a ratty franchise and survived through mostly being a nepo baby. We could legitimately be dealing with the out and out worst head coach in the history of football.

There are 2 more coaches in NFL history with 3 or more Super Bowl wins than there are head coaches with a sub .300 record at 5 seasons.
