I know this is the boring part of the season until draft day so lets have a little fun. At the end of the day we are all die hard saints fan so even if I hate the pick like I do most years, I get that battered spouse syndrome and make it work in my head like ok I see what they did there, this guy may be freaking awesome.

I can't remember the year but we trade our two 1st round picks and all I was thinking we are going get Trufant, YES!!!!! The saints select Jon Sullivan.......uh what?! WHAT?!? ***??? I think I went and kicked my dog. Then 30mins later I had convinced myself that this dude may be like the next Warren Sapp......

So who is you're all time hated pick and who don't you want this year. This year everytime I see a Scherff post I want to poke my freaking eyes out like please God no!!! I sit in my office like stop posting this crap because you will make it come true. LOL but in all reality I'm a saints fan and if we did draft him after 30 min of it setting in, he will be one of my favorites.

I was happy at first, I was saying we are gonna get Ricky!!! Then I saw what we gave up and then watched Ditka on tv talking about he is going golfing. Really, you going play golf.....this season wont go well

And I will be upset if Payton and Co. go back to Vegas the week of the draft after that sham of a draft we had last year. They need to do the opposite and have a lock in at saints camp the week of the draft

Alex Molden. I distinctly remember listening to the draft and just KNOWING that the Saints would be selecting Eddie George...and then they didn't.

The maddest I have ever been at a sequence of draft picks had to be the 1997 draft. We were picking 10th and I remember wanting Tony Gonzalez or Warrick Dunn. The Saints took Chris Naeole, who not only was picked way to soon for a G, but was also the only guard taken in the first 2 rounds. I remember them interviewing him and he seemed pretty shocked that he was taken so high. The draft analyst kept saying he was a Ditka kind of player because he once pushed his coach through a chalk board or something. So I was rightfully ****** through out the first round.

So the second round comes and we have the third and ninth picks in the round. I was watching ESPN and they kept showing Corey Dillon as the best player available. It seemed to make sense that we went G in the first, since it was obvious to me that we would draft Dillon. However, we take Rob Kelly with the first pick, which just blew my mind. So ESPN is confused and we watch as Dillon continues to slide. At 39, it now is a forgone conclusion that we will not pass him up again, and if so, we would do it to take Jake Plummer. The Saints took Jared Tomich and I just turned the TV off.

In my early SR days I got pretty riled up about the Cie Grant pick. Pretty much the whole 2003 draft was a mood swinger for me. My draft views have matured a lot since then.

I spent my first 5 years as an SR member getting talked down from the April Ledge.

What a downright scary thread. But I'll admit that the pick I hated the most was Thomas Morstead. I have rarely been that happy to be wrong.

It's pretty hard not to regard that draft as the most idiotic one in the history of the NFL. I know that the Saints eventually recouped some of it--but at the time, it was incomprehensible and continues to be.
