THE Big Question is who will be Head Coach. But do we know when it will be announces. Maybe it's known, but I'm in the dark.

After they all go on a 3 week end of season vacation. Then they actually start the HC search.

I'm hoping they have their list. Then they contact the league office and get the generic questions the league asks everyone and they then can rank them. As for the hire, 1 March.

Depends on who they have their eye on and also that person’s current team’s playoff status.

I’d hope our guy, if external, is someone that will be coaching deep into January.

I’ll say after 2 Loomis press conferences and a radio interview so he can sell
us something absurd like, you don’t have to score more points that the other team to win, or we don’t judge our record by wins and losses, or we won 6 less games than we won and if you divide that by 2, that’s 3 and means we just needed a field goal to win the division.

Unless the coach we want doesn't make the playoffs, I don't think there can be any negotiations until their team is out. So it will really depend on who their looking at and when their team's season is over. Even then it will still take a while to conduct interviews and negotiate contract specifics. So I picked some random day in 2025

If they're interested in Ben Johnson or Aaron Glenn, and Detroit goes to the Super Bowl, as most people predict, it will be February at least.

There's a nightmare scenario where they wait for Johnson or Glenn, and they both turn the Saints down. They're forced to run it back with Rizzi because all the other candidates are already gone.

Usually by that stage, the match has been made behind the scenes and just not announced. If we are waiting long for one of those two, it is just a function of us being forced/asked to wait on the announcement.

Obviously people could change their minds of course, and that of course would suck.
