It is going to be a wild ride to the finish line, because you have not only 2 teams, but three teams in the hunt for the NL division crown, the cubs, the Cardinals, and the Brew Crew, and it their is a 3 way tie and that could happen, how would it be determined who would win the title crown and the division.

If their is a 3 team dead even tie, how does the league deal with fairly and evenly, does that mean one team gets screwed and two others don't?

Chicago, Milwaukee, and St. Louis are dead even pretty much for the division lead.

What happens if on the final day of the regular season, they are all tied between them and no one has a clear lead ,who wins the division crown, meaning the NL Central
I just want some input on this sticky situation or potential sticky situation.

I may be well off base here (pun intended), but I think the deciding game would be between the two teams with the best record within the division

If there is a tie between 2 of them then here are the 1 game play-offs matchs:
• Brewers @ Cubs
• Cubs @ Cardinals
• Cardinals @ Brewers

Here's the thing: the NL Central is so piss-poor, it won't matter who makes it or doesn't make it after the Wildcard round is over anyway.

The Cubs and Brewers entered Friday's action tied for first in the division, with identical records (71-68) for the first time since Opening Day. The Cardinals are one game back. If the teams finish in a three-way tie, it will come down to the clubs' head-to-head records. The teams with the two worst records will play each other, with the winner taking on the team with the best head-to-head record to become division champion.

Hopefully my cubs can win it in the regular season but not with the way they've been playing lately. Here's to Zambrano rebounding tonight.

Thanks Buffalo. so in essence all 3 teams would get a shot at winning the division crown.
That is kind of unique to sports and to baseball, no one would get screwed out of a chance and all parties would be satisfied somewhat.
but to me I hope the Cubs win the crown and the NL, cubs fans deserve a winners so bad and the way they attend that ball park day in and day out, they should get something for it.

I hope Zambrano can get his act together, we need him to step up big time.

Here are the odds that each team will win the divison according to Baseball Prospectues
Brewers: 55.56204 %
Cubs: 35.68197 %
Cardinals: 8.74349 %

How is it different than last year when the Cards won it all?
