Example.......Deuce has a big contract, and probably has to redo it.....but who would you rather give a big contract to?....Will Smith, or A Samuels?....or L Briggs?

Right now we have 2 underachieving bookends.....one got a big contract last year, the other wants even a bigger one.....why do we have to keep both of them? I would rather pay Samuels or Briggs than W Smith! Is W Smith tradable? If he is, what is his value?

I'd definitely sign a cornerback. And I'd rather sign Marcus Trufant or Nhamndi Asomugha instead of Asante, who is slightly overrated.

I don't think we should trade Will Smith away he just didn't have a great year like last year, but I think he will come back next year and have an excellent season(or at least i hope he will).
It would be nice to sign Lance Briggs or Samuel(But I would prefer Trufant).

I'd rather keep Will Smith and draft him a DT to give both he and Charles Grant help with a pass rush up the gut.

Let Will Smith play the last year of his contract then franchise him the following year. This team needs more than one corner now that Mckenzie is out most of the 08 season.

Hell I am all about shaking up this defensive unit. Lets change our scheme to a 3-4. Grant could be one of your DE and if K. Clancy could drop some lbs then he could be the other. Trade away Smith for a "starting corner" with at least 2 years left of their contract. Use the money saved by not renegotiating with Smith on Briggs. Draft a Safety, LB, LB, DT, TE, CB, and CB with your 7 picks. The trick would be finding 3 starters on Defense from the draft with 2 of them being LB's. You could then move KK to take over for Bullocks, Fujita Briggs and your 2 rookie LB's, a CB you traded for to start and plug in either a rookie or best player at the other corner, front 3 would be Grant-Thomas-Clancy, Harper would take up the other safety position and waaa-laaa, you have a 3-4 defense.

I would like the two lb's drafted to be the 1st two picks, maybe Harris on the outside in the 1st and Mayo to bolster the middle in the 2nd, then adding Briggs in the middle and Fujita on the outside......wow, that seems to be a good LB group
