I found that kinda disrepectfull that the giants ran a FB hand off when the game was clearly over. Why would they try to pound the ball why not just toss it deep or just take a knee?

to save face?

Yeah, sort of like the Bucs running up the middle at the end of the 2nd NO/TB game. You want to end the game but you don't want to completely give up with a knee. It's meaningless, good coaches like Parcells just kneel it anyway, but I guess some coaches feel "kneeling is only for winners".

yea kinda what i was thinking but hard for me to type (booze?). You know the game is over but dont want the fans to think you have "quit" so you run a play like that

I can kind of see the "kneeling is only for winners" side of it. I suppose a coach might say, "you don't deserve an easy out, now get out there and at least LOOK like your working for a living!"

...Fight to the end, that's what makes winners, if your coach throws in the towel what kind of message does that send?

Im not saying for them to kneel but you have plex and shockey why not throw it deep? Or if your going to hand it off why not give it to tiki who could break one. A FB run just kinda seems like they wanted to just try to hurt/punish us.

There's tenacity and there is stupidity. Less then a minute, down 30-7, throwing it "deep" isn't "making a winner" it's "being too stupid to figure out what the scoreboard says".

No one is impressed by coaches who act like they still have a chance when they clearly don't.

I don't think it was showing disrespect. I think it was just Tom Coughlin in shock that his G-Men got owned by those Katrina Refuges called the "Saints".:D

Merry Christmas to all you Saintsreporters. This is one Christmas the Saints have delivered our presents early and getting ready to deliver all of us a new Years resolution of a Super Bowl championship.:D
