I guess Ive been out of gaming so long I am a n00b now.

What exactly is the "toy box?" What are the different types of games modes? the wife ordered this thing cause it was on clearance and I am expected to show the kids (6 and 4) what all to do. Its got dick as far as instructions and youtube just seems to give me walk thrus instead of a fundamental understanding. At this point they have basically kicked daddy off the stick and are fighting each other (ironman vs thor) on some game type that looks to be a creative world.

Help me unlock its majic!

Plus I wanna play when they go to bed!

Can you expound on the metric of measurement you refer to as "dick"? Is it bountiful? Is it sparse? Does it fit in a coffee can?

I must know more about dick. Does anyone here consider themselves an expert on dick? Antipop?

We have suspected as much for a while. It doesn't change anything. We are still your friends.

And dick is not necessarily a quantitative amount, but has enough tolerance to leave a minor degree of variation. Sort of like a "pinch" of salt.

Just think of the amount as very little and approaching zero, or about as helpful as your post.

I don't "get" the game either. But my kids (7 & 8) adore it, and they are constantly building race tracks and games for their Guardians of the Galaxy figures to play in.

I'm not too bothered about not getting it, but I harbor deep hope that the Star Wars packs in Disney Infinity 3 can finally prod me to fiddle with the Toy Box and unleash the awesomeness that is hidden away in there.

So, each character or figure comes with certain levels you can play with them. Think of these as traditional video games.

The Toy Box exists separately from these games. It's an open world that you can build, sort of like minecraft, but with preset set pieces. Like race tracks, castles, trees, flowers, etc. You build the land, the terrain and whatever you want. It all snaps together. For this game mode, the character you are using doesn't really matter, except that you are using that character.

Ya dig

I just got Disney Infinity 3, the Star Wars starter pack. It was for $35 during black Friday. I just received it, so I haven't even put it in yet (continuing the earlier pun, I guess).

So, did I just begin a long term money pit?

Yep, big time.

Ha, I just got two more playsets on sale (The Empire one and the Inside Out one), and a Yoda figure.

The little one really enjoyed the game, and so did I. We really like the toybox as well. Lots to do. She actually didn't ask for more, I just went ahead and did it. :ezbill:

The Rise Against the Empire was very well done. There is a mission or two that is hard to pull off in the time allotted, but it's very well done. Endor looks very nice. The flying missions messed me up, because the controls aren't inverted. Not sure if I can change those or not. I'd probably mess up the girl, because I'm the only one who has played with inverted flight controls.
