Is there talk and I’m just missing it?

This guy is a coverage machine, stout in defense and an adequate blitzer.

Runs a 4.6, and really good 20 yard shuttle and 3 cone drill times.

This guy looks like he could be a really solid pro in the middle of a defense. Yet I don’t ever hear of anyone talking about him and so many rankings have him around a 5th or 6th round pick.

Is this just another looney vill media speculation because he doesn’t garner clicks or can someone who watched a lot of Notre Dame fill me in?

He's probably the perfect type of LB behind Staley's Gap and a Half line. He's older so that's normally held against guys, but our starting MLB is old enough to be a grandpa so an older prospect is quite a bit younger than what we have. PW is not the answer.

6 year senior and just not a special enough athlete to be considered a 3 down linebacker in the current era of the NFL where nickel is really the base formation. He's hurt partly by the era he's playing in where thumper linebackers just aren't valued.

He will be drafted to be linebacker depth and special teams, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Refer to @BayouSAINTJoe. He’s spot on with this one imo.

I’m a huge fan of Watts on that team but worry now that Joe has shown me the light about Irish players.

Saints have not done very well drafting the Irish. Waymer, Irv Smith, Zellars top the list of the players I recall.

Uh, only Montana went to ND on that list.

ND has Bettis, Tim Brown and a few others besides Montana.
My bad…that was supposed to be funny. Agreed on that NDs NFL legend list is short considering the lore of ND. This goes all the way back to the points I made during the Ian Book saga. Notre Dames success pre-NIL was carefully curated. Their schedules were built to fool the SoS calculations by playing mostly mid tier teams from major conferences with a heavy hitter sprinkled in while completely avoiding the NW Utah state tune up games. So at the end of the year when they’re 10-2…their manipulated SoS gave them an undeserved bump. It’s how Book became the “winnibgest QB in ND history”

Every time the Saints draft a Notre Dame guy I cringe a bit. This list is the reason why. I know other teams have faired better with ND players because the HoF is full of ND alums but over the past few decades they haven't shown me much. They produce a good O lineman from time to time but that's about it.
