Alright we all know the Ravens have an excellent D-line and LB's, but what they dont have is excellent DB's other than Ed Reed. Their CB's are very average if not below average. Think of another team we played this year that plays the 3-4 and had an excellent line and LB's but poor DB's.....
Answer- The Steelers
Brees picked apart that defensive backfield with short to middle passes and taking a shot downfield every now and then. We passed to set up the run later in the game.
Now I know that was in the dome and this will be in 35 degree weather but Brees is used to that from his days at Purdue, so is Colston from playing in the New York area in college. Plus they played in cold weather at Cinny and we prevailed there.
I'm just saying I see us being able to move the ball through the air fairly easily, now running will be tough as the Ravens are stout up front with all that beef from Ngata and Gregg and then Ray Ray roaming behind them.
The other key to passing it all over is keeping Suggs off Brees. If he is against Bushrod they need to help with a TE or a back chipping him to slow him down. I feel ok with Stinchcomb taking him one on one and doing enough to give Brees a few seconds, He usually does well with speed rushers like Suggs but can be pushed around by bull rushers. Brees will just have to move around and get rid of it quickly like he always does and they should be fine and when you have the D on their heels trying to stop the pass then bust out Pierre and Bush with quick runs up the middle and screens to them and hopefully Ivory will be available because he is our power back and can wear those guys down later in the game.
All in all I think we win this one but it wont be a blow out
