Wild card is definitely still in play (1 Viewer)

I know many are focused on winning the division and that’s understandable. But we are still in the think of the wild card race especially with a head to head match-up with the Rams upcoming.
Yup. As long as we can finish with a better record than the Vikings and Packers we will be in the thick of things - but gotta beat the Rams on a short week on the west coast.

Honestly, with a mini-bye following the game with a date at Tampa on slate - I don’t care if it’s a 6-3, ugly slobber-knocker, so long as we win.
I could see Tampa presenting us with far more strategic game-day issues then what we may even face vs. Rams on Thursday. Their offense is still very good and Stafford's having a impressive comeback season but considering our defense is sort of coming into its own right now, particularly against the rush and to a lesser extent, opposing RB's, if we manage to get to Stafford early and often, interrupt his flow, tempo he creates over the course of most games, if Kamara has good game and is utilized effectively and Carr's confidence and progress gets better, I could see us winning on Thursday. There's still quite a few intangibles that have to come together for this potential scenario to come to fruition but after the past two weeks, I do feel a bit confident as it regards to LAR. Plus, Stafford's not really that same mobile QB he was in Detroit well over a decade ago.

Tampa still concerns me because I still see Baker torching this defense, both scrambling and passing and making plays happen in semi-flukey, broken-down sort of downs he's known for, in same way he did over 2 months ago.

Just what the Saints and Mickey were betting on. Mediocrity will bring out the masses.

Im going to enjoy the wins.. but if theres no superbowl win (which they were sure of having a great chance of this year).. then Im against a 3rd year.

I agree to an extent, I think they found something with Zach Baun utilizing him to chase down mobile QBs. Their previous spy’s didn’t have enough speed and agility to get it done.

Where we struggle.
N perhaps you’re right.

Meanwhile, my sister n BIL went to da game yesterday n said it was the most FUN they’ve had all season!

But IMO it also looked like the players were having lotsa FUN too!

It might b late in da season, but the team is still in da hunt. So is it just possible that they finally caught onto “something” that can take their play to dat, “next level”?

Guess we’ll find out a few short days.
