Anyone else notice he came on the set with comfortable sneakers instead of shoes?

Jim Rome tried to bait him in talking smack against the Falcons, but Big Will didn't bite.

He also didn't make much hoopla about Payton's return to the sidelines. He didn't downplay it, but neither did he make it larger than life as if SP was a big dominating figure on the sidelines. Actually, it's nice that SP isn't viewed that way by the team.

Again, nice interview.

Talked about the bye week coming at a good time.
Rome asked about the stop in the falcons game, Smith said it's something they've been struggling with on defense, but it's also something they've been working on and it's a good building block moving forward.
Rome asked if Smith feels like the Saints have the falcons' number, he said that they always play the Saints close, so he wouldn't say that they have their number.
Asked about starcaps, Smith basically said he was bummed, only 2 guys left that had to serve the suspension, missed 2 games but didn't get paid for 4. Also mentioned he doesn't take anything anymore just to be safe.
Then just talked about he's gotten better at film study and what to look for.
