If not he could pass Brees.... Esp. if Brees sits

i dont think they can. because if baltimore wins and pats lose they get 2nd seed... pats play at 12 and ravens at 315. so they have to play to win.

also. if ravens and pats lose and steelers win they get first seed...

This has me concerned aswell, I don't want Brady taking Bree's brand new record.

There is a chance if they start blowing out Bills, they put in backups.

Brees will not sit with the 2 seed on the line. I'd be willing to put a pretty big wager on that. Perhaps if the niners build a big lead Brees will get pulled, but I dont think there is any way Brees does not start.

In the first game against Bills, Pats lost 34-31 and Brady threw 387 yards and 4 TDs and 4 interceptions.

Basically the fact 4 interceptions killed 4 drives, which resulted in a lot more yardage. Bills have been in free fall and he could have game in hand by halftime

Even if Brady matches his performance from first game of 387 yards, that would mean Brees would just need about 200 yards to retain lead. Against the terrible Panthers defense, he could be over 200 yards on third drive. The fact that Brees might be pulled like last year if Rams game gets out of hand and Payton worried about injuries, all should result in a more pass heavy first half as opposed to a tough ground game where Oline guys are blocking and risking injury!

Why, why, why do people keep saying Brees might sit out next game!?

The number 2 seed is still a possibility. There is no way Brees does not play for at least the first half. Only if the 49ers are blowing out the Rams would he sit the second half, but the 49ers are not a team that generally puts up a lot of points. The Rams could easily still be in the game in the 3rd or 4th quarter.

You really think the Saints will risk losing the number 2 seed because they sat Brees the entire game and Rams pulled out an unlikely upset?

This and I kind of got the feeling from Payton's press conf. yesterday, that he really wants Brees to have this record.

Belicheck will try to grab the record for Mr. Gisele and call about 60 pass plays because he's that special kind of MOD EDIT.

Meanwhile, Payton will draw up about 10 safe screens during the game and keep Drew a safe distance in front of Brady.

Belichick will NOT do that.

Never has and he won't start now.

Heck he lost Welker to an ACL inury a few years back in a meaningless game in week 17.
