We went out to eat over the weekend and were early for our reservations so we sat at the bar and ordered some drinks

I had 2 sips of my drink and when I went back for a third I knocked the glass over

We wiped it up I apologized to the bartender and went back to drinking my glass of water

The bartender said "Let me get you another drink"

I said no that's alright, I'll stick with water

She said "It's no problem, I'll take care of it"

She brings me another drink, I drink it, our table is ready and when the bar bill comes both my drinks are on the bill

Uh, what??? I thought she was replacing a spilled drink not giving me a second drink

I wanted to say something, my girlfriend wouldn't let me

It definitely wasn't the money, but that's odd right?

you've spilled that shot of amaretto three weeks in a row------ you're still ahead.

Perhaps the bartender forgot to remove one of the charges. Or, perhaps she figured she was getting ahead of you ordering another drink; I mean, you were the drunken old buzzard who spilled the first one. :hihi:

My wife would have been all over it, and asked for a refund, and I would have told it her isn’t a big deal and just leave it alone.

My petty arse refuses to eat at Copelands since my son was 5 (he is almost 22 now). The manager walked by our table to check on everything like most restaurant managers do and she looked at my son and said something to the effect of "do you like ice cream?" He nodded his head and she walked off. We were finishing up our meal and out comes the manager with this huge hot fudge sundae. She put it in front of him, said "Enjoy" and walked off. My wife and I didn't think much about it other than that was a nice gesture. Yada, Yada Yada I take Jr to the restroom while we are waiting for our check. My wife quickly paid the bill before I got back because the manager stuck a $19 desert on our bill. I was told about it after we were home. I refuse to patronize any of those establishments to this day. In a sense of irony my son graduated HS with one of Copeland's sons. My wife would not let me share that story with his widow.

Yeah...I'd say honest mistake by bartender I'm sure. I'd feel you were within your rights to speak up but I probably wouldn't have myself.
