Saints agree to terms with depth WR Dante Pettis on a 1-year deal.

Previously spent time with 49ers (‘18-‘20), Giants (‘20-‘21) and Bears (‘22-early ‘24) before originally signing with the Saints in October ‘24.

Or anyone who knows how to stay down and doesn't have to immediately jump up to prove something. He should've laid on the turf until the refs were forced to do something. That's the only way to get any action out of the NFL

Yep. Liked him a lot as a prospect years ago. He’s more or less busted, but he’s done enough to continue hanging onto the dream, and that in itself says a lot. Something is deep in there and coaches can see it.

Probably one of those many guys that just fell victim to not finding the perfect, ideal situation for himself to thrive - the right system, coach, supporting cast, depth chart politics, quarterback, and overall learning and playing environment.

He's a grinder, that plays. Going into the draft, he ran a 4.48 at his Pro Day while recovering from an ankle injury. He's reported to have run a 4.3-4.4 previously. At 5' 10 1/2", he has 9.5" hands which are big for his size and a 77" reach, 5" longer than his height. He has some measurables and speed.
