2023 offseason: WR Tet McMillan said its hard for him to watch film and doesn’t watch film by himself

Rewatching that, it sounds like maybe Tet was annoyed by the guy talking to him and was giving him short answers that weren’t genuine. Almost purposely egging him on.

I mean, it’s a guy eating and a random YouTuber posted this, and the camera angle looks “suspect,” as if the phone is hidden from Tet’s view.

This kind of puts McMillan in the same reach boat as Williams and Stewart to me. I’d rather have Matthew Golden, or get Jay Higgins or Tre Harris in the 2nd.
Tet already wasn’t that much apart from any of them as WR prospects.
I think Harris is much better value than Tet. Not sure why he’s being slept on. He is a downfield threat plus he can catch short passes and run after the catch. Also a Louisiana guy. Would love either him or Higgins to come in and be our X receiver.

One of the qualities Payton looked for in a draft pick was if they loved the game. I remember him talking about that and how important that passion is for a player. So, yeah this is a bad look. You don’t have to be obsessed but you should at least enjoy the game and want to watch film in order to get better. Scary talk for a top 10 pick

This is the most knee jerk reactive board sometimes my goodness
Knowing the Saints’ recent 1st round draft history in ‘18-‘22, we don’t want to see them potentially blow a top 10 pick on another Charles Rogers. Chasing good college tape and traits at WR, but never getting back a top 10 pick level return as a pro because he potentially doesn’t study the game to become a star.

At minimum, Tet has poor awareness to give those answers to a random person on the most important duty of a pro player. He seemed to have doubled down with conviction in the responses about not studying film.
