N/S Zack Baun: Top Graded LB / DPOY cand. [Why Isn’t Baun Still a Saint Thread] ………. [Eagles re-sign Baun to 3-year, $51 million contract on March 5] (29 Viewers)

You're quite literally ignoring everything that's been written.
As I said, there been 24 pages of precisely this. The overwhelming need to berate the team trumps any logic you may present. Not all that surprising when you've got a 5-11 team without clear answers at QB and numerous other positions, I guess.

You're quite literally ignoring everything that's been written. He was a scheme fit, he would have played MLB/ILB just like he does for PHI. Biggest thing in front of him was playing time/snaps because he would have had to supplant Davis.
I've listened to several NFL people in the know who disagree with you.

Does Pete Werner make a jump in his play like Baun if we go to a Vic Fangio Defense?

Idk if this should go in a new thread or not, but I'll stick it here. Article came out today and has some really good insight into why he fell in the draft and why he didn't fit in N.O. (not alllll our fault btw lol).

Anyway, instead of arguing for no reason about why someone that's good isn't still here, why not read about how a deserving player is making the journey towards being great and enjoy not being curmudgeonly for 5m ;)

It pisses me that Dennis Allen prioritized these large meathead slow pass rushers over slender speed guys. I hate it

Fixt it for you. And now Loomis fixed this issue for you. That's no longer going to be an issue with Allen gone.

He's a champion now. Well deserved and earned for Zack.
I think he'll have a better market *if not tagged* this time around in free agency!

Some acquaintances of ours were neighbors with Baun when he was in New Orleans and became friends with him - by all accounts he's a great dude. Anyway the husband went to the SB wearing a #53 Baun Saints jersey and afterwards Zach signed the back with the words "Who Dat Forever!"

Saturday night I saw an Eagles 53 jersey walking up Magazine toward the FQ

Got to a red light, he walked past… it was a Hugh Douglas jersey

Dennis Allen. He doesn't try to fit his defense around the player's skill set. He wants to change the player to fit his defense. It's why we've seen so many square peg, round hole player's on defense. Player X did this in college, but the Saints are playing them here instead.
Mic Drop, and there are many DA out there using the same DA model. Difference between failure and success is always how you turn a Liability into an asset, but failure will almost certainly result if you use your assets as a liability.
