I found it much easier to add this guy (Guitarzan) to the ignore list. You may want to try it to shorten up threads and make them seem a little more useful.

Old news. Thoroughly discussed and boring. I thought the TOS made clear that threads that do nothing more than draw attention to attention ****** were unwanted. What does this have to do with 2013? Besides, the girl deserved the chance of a lifetime but conspiracy cynics try to twist that as some human shield. Do you guys ever stop to think how ridiculous some of your suggestions seem?

It's classless and low to take away that girl's glory.

I think it was really low to try to use her as a pr move since he is so hated in NO, actually saying she is a shield may not be far off base cause some people may not call him what they are thinking since she is sitting there.

And she was pretty darn good playing this last year and the comment about bringing her here to play against our kids was way off base. If you cannot recognize her talent for what it is you probably should not be judging her.

There have been little girls at that age playing peewee or other organized football since I can remember. I played on one from age 5 to 11 (I'm 57 now). Puberty is/was when girls could no longer play. So don't get your tutu in a huhu, this has nothing to do with changing the sport, after a certain age the No Girls Allowed signs go up. ( Which can be a shame - I've always known more about football than 85% of the guys and I could put the ball through the uprights 87% of the time from the 20 through college. But I couldn't play except in powder puff games)

Part of that is obviously because the guys start catching up by then, but you're correct. It's nothing new. Makes me wonder why Goodell feels like he has to give the royal treatment to this one in particular. Thinking it's just another shameless PR move, somehow related to his new tackling procedure I'm sure.

Does she really? All I know is that she supposedly dominated at peewee football. If there's a deeper, more compelling backstory then I missed it. It seems obvious, at least to me, that she's being used as the mascot for Goodell's newly endorsed "proper" tackling procedure.

Um, I've seen them. She's very good at peewee football. That, in my opinion, doesn't warrant all the attention. She's not the first girl to dominate sports at that age and won't be the last. Why is she so special? What came out this year? The new initiative for new tackling form. She's a perfect fit for that, no? The NFL is a business. Do you honestly believe she's up there because Goodell was really that impressed?

I hate how cynical I'm sounding, and I was truly amazed by what she can do, but it's what makes sense to me.

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but hating on Roger Goodell is now a requirement of being a Saints fan. Evolve like the rest of us! Ruck Foger!
