How should the Saints go about replacing Chase Daniel? (1 Viewer)

Tebow we get him cheap and we suck with out Bree's any ways

Do we really need a back up? If drew goes down, seasons over so why not wait and pick up some guy needing a job then? Then we have room for someone else in depth in the meantime.

we should trade ivory to st.louis for austin davis their back-up qb.....win-win

Dudes, I've got the answer. I'll gladly hang out with Brees on the sidelines with my hat backwards and hold the ball for extra points. I'll even do it for a very cap friendly league minimum. It beats the heck out of my current gig. Championship. :D

What no Tebow suggestions. No I'm not seriosly want him but he's is better than McCown or Grossman. I've seen both play and they are awful. RG can't hit a moving target and McCown is scared puppy and holds the ball too long.

Grossman was a SB QB.....nevermind, not going there and they all stink:banan25:

If either of these guys can be signed as an UDFA. Might be worth a look.

    Nathan Stanley, QB, Southeastern Louisiana
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 215.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.95.
    Projected Round (2013): 6-FA.

2/16/13: Stanley started out his career at Ole Miss before transferring to Southeastern Louisiana. The senior completed 53 percent of his passes for 1,705 yards with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions this year. He also performed well at the East-West Shrine.

Stanley displays all the physical tools NFL teams look for with a strong arm and good pocket presence. He will need some development, but could be a good sleeper for the third day of the 2013 NFL Draft.

    Collin Klein, QB, Kansas State
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 226.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.72.
    Projected Round (2013): 6-FA.

2/16/13: Klein was one of the best players in college football this season. He was a superb play-maker and carried the Wildcats to an 11-win season.

Klein completed 65 percent of his passes for 2,641 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions this year. The senior also ran for 23 touchdowns. He rushed for 1,141 yards and 27 touchdowns in 2011 while throwing for 1,918 yards with 13 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Klein was a great college player, but his arm isn't strong enough to be a starter in the NFL. His throwing mechanics are a real problem as well. Klein could be a developmental prospect, but he is likely no more than a career third-stringer.

Draft or UDFA.

And.. dare I say it?

Tebow.

He said God will lead him to his new team. Who better than the Saints?

And before you guys flame me, realize this. If Drew ever goes down and we need our backup to play anything other than mop up duty, our season is done.

Honestly, barring Canada, I don't see anyone who would want him as a starter this year, so he's backup QB material only. As a cheap backup QB, you could do much worse.

Cheap vet v UDFA in training camp, winner is Drew's new clipboard buddy.

No QB in the draft.

With the 15th selection in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select...Gino Smith, QB, West Virginia.

Approximately 2 seconds later, Saintsreport explodes and Andrus is never seen again.
