Welcome to Portland! If you are looking for a place to catch the Saints games with other die hards head to the A&L Sports Bar.

Your in for a really big change climate wise...you leaving all that god awfull Shreveport humidity behind.

On a weekly basis A&L is a awsome place to watch the game. I live about an hour north of Portland on I-5 and try to make it down to A&L once or twice a year.

Also, if/when you score a ticket to the sunday night game, the is a amtrack train that goes from Portland to Seattle, it litterly drops you off one block from Seachicken Stadium. I think th ride is about 2 and half hours.

Excellent info! Will definitely stop by A & L during the season. And I hope like heck I can get tickets to the game.

And oh yeah, the humidity is killing me here. I am soooo looking forward to getting out of this place..:)

Got my plane tickets and hotel, but for the love of Pete, everywhere I look online the game tix are outrageous for anything decent.

Jeff... I think that I will go the same route as you and take my chances with Ticketmaster on July 30th. If that doesn't work I guess I'll just have to suck it up and pay.

I'm in the exact same boat. However, I just came across a package deal that includes transportation from Vancouver, all the beer you can drink, tailgate party, and tickets in the 300 level (regularly $65 a seat) all for $160. It's a possibility.

Yeh, its just the way things are these days. Either get the nose bleeds seats for a decient price or pay double or tripple value for at most 2 tickets together. At least there is not a bad seat in the house in Seattle. (I paind $180) for my mid terrace level ticket for the playoff game).

Remember andrus, i think thats 10 am pacific time, might want to call ticketmaster the day before to comfirm.

Which hotel did you get? I'll be staying at the Vintage Park, about a mile from Seachicken Stadium on saturday night.

that sounds pretty reasonable.

That sounds great except for the 300 level part. I can't see that far. :hihi:

I did the Priceline thing. Put in 3-Star - SEA-TAC, bid $50 per night and got the Raddison - Airport. That hotel sure has mixed reviews.

We will trade our two tickets for the game for 3 tickets.Ours are 11 rows from the field, if anyone has some nosebleeds they would like to trade 2 for 3 we will cough up

I've had really good expirences with a local chain called "The Guest House". The Renton location is the one closest to seattle for about $80 a night. I've never actually stayed at this location.

The Hampton Inn, which is my perfered hotel when i travel, has a location about 10 min south of the stadium for $99 a night.

Thats where i would be staying had i not had to splurg on the wife to get her to go. If for some reason i can't enough ticket for all my family, i'll probably stay their overnight.

Jeff... Well, I am stuck with the Radisson at SEA-TAC being that I used Priceline. At hotels.com the reviews are good, but at tripadvisor they are horrible. I am a bit of a cynic and tend to believe the latter. :hihi:

Do you know anything about that hotel?
