Saints fans near SEATTLE WA....

yeh, i wasn't even able to get a set of tickets to look at untill 10:12, and at that point, only single tickets were left (i needed 5).

I'm a little bummed. Not sure what i'm going to do now. My daughter really wants to go but i can't aford 5 tickets at nearly $200 each.

i'll figure something out. Yet another reason to hate the seachickens.

Yeah, it was kinda screwy. I think since I requested 2 seats it didn't even bother to pull up singles. Just a message that my request was not able to be filled or something like that. No biggie really. Hope I can get tix to 49ers game. Their site says that tix will go on sale in August sometime--not definite yet.

WHODAT!

Got my tickets through ticket exchange. Five yard line, 2nd row on the Saints sideline. Can't wait, but paid a healthy amount for them.

I just looked at stubhub, and they have a LOT of tickets. If you ask me, these were tickets that went on sale today (high upper redzone seats). Face value $42 selling for $120.

Something about that just makes me sick. I don't think it would be all that hard to develop a program that can get in and reserve a lot of seats like that.

I'll have to to wait on another pay check or two before i finally decide and what tickets to buy. I'd feel a little better about it all if the game was new orleans.

same here fellas...I HAVE 2 TICKETS IN THE ENDZONE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED...$300 a PIECE ...SAME WE PAID ON EBAY...............

I guess misery loves company because I have the same sad story as the rest of you. I had almost a dozen people coordinated to try and get tickets and within 10 minutes of us all being able to access ticketmaster, none of us had any success. Hopefully, I'll be able to think of a few people here in BC that have connections with our neighbours to the South and try to get tickets for a decent price that way.

wow, so thats almost twenty now that could not get a ticket. I'm usually one who believes in conspirices, but my gut keeps telling me the fix was in.

Don't worry people, I will be at the game one way or another, just gonna have to find some extra money.

I actually got the 4 tickets i requested, but i took more than the two minutes to confirm it and they were "re-released." i was pretty upset with myself particularly because i was on the phone with my buddy who was having no luck - and now it looks like no one else was, either. however, they were $75 a pop with about $9 each in fees plus an unknown amount for shipping, and it looks like i'll now be buying some from stubhub for $100 inclusive of fees and shipping, and the seats are only a few sections over, so i'm not too brokenhearted.

the good news was that i found a $263 round trip ticket, and paid for the whole thing with credit card reward points! it's going to be a heck of a trip. maybe once i get an free hour or so i'll sift through this giant thread and figure out where it is y'all plan on meeting up before the game!

If you are staying in Down town Seattle you can get around on foot.

If anyone needs a ride from the airport to the hotel just let me know, I will help out !

If your going to stay downtown, you probably won't need a car. All the restaurants, pikes market, the sapce needle and the rock and roll museaum (which you should not miss) and the strip clubs as all either withing walking, bus or taxi distance. I believe the boening plant also give soem type of tour as well.

SeaTac airport is about 15 or 20 miles south of seattle. If your going to stay in a lower cost hotel outside of down town, then yeh, i'd say rent the car.

i'm staying 1 mile from the staidum myself, but that room is going to cost me $225 for the night. if your looking for something more of a budget, i recomend the Hampton Inn or the Guesthouse, usually around $100 a night and very nice buisness traveling hotels.

oh, and bring a coat, you can never tell what the weather will be like up here and it will be cooler then what you expect it to be.

As far as restaurants go, it depends on what you like. Although it looks sort of like a "tourist" restaurant (but not a tourist trap), I've never had a bad meal at Elliots' on the bay (Elliot Bay to be exact). If you like raw oysters (the have a wide assortment of NW oysters-- usually have 8-12 different varieties of them-- but they are PRICEY) this is the place to have them. They have excellent seafood--steamers, mussels, smoked salmon, etc. Dinner will run you about $50 per person (more if you get the oyster jones) with some NW micro-brews or a glass or two of NW wine. I also like "the Brooklyn"--a steakhouse-seafood restaurant. On 2nd Ave. A few blocks east of Pike's Place Market. Definitely lots of dark wood and with a clubby feel. Again nice selection of seafood. (I'm not sure I've ever eaten red meat in Seattle....) The bar in the Fairmont hotel downtown is awesome too, but pricey. I like Restaurant Dahlia too. On 4th Ave in the Belltown section of Seattle I think. There are some great Thai and Vietnamese restaurants and the are on the inexpensive side. I've just kind of walked into them and eaten lunch, but have never remembered their names. They are sort of non-descript, but very good places.

If you guys are on a tight budget, I'd spend a few bucks and buy a Zagats' Guide. While you are in the PacNW embrace the cuisine--seafood, asian influenced cuisine, grain-fed beef, hops and grapes!!!! If you like sushi this is a great town to eat in. If nothing else, Seattle is a great town to walk in, so explore Belltown and Queen Anne and see if you come across a restaurant or two that looks good. Also, Mario Batali's (Food Network) family owns an sausage making biz there--Salumi-- that is supposed to be great for lunch.

You might want to catch the ferry to Bainbridge Island and knock around there if you have the time--if there are only guys in the group, maybe Bainbridge is a little too cutesy. Just a suggestion to keep the ladies happy if they are along too.

Well that's what I came up with off the top of my head. If you need more eating suggestions, let me know.

I've stayed at a number of different hotels in Seattle and the 'burbs, but none that really stick out for being a great value! SIlver Cloud Inn in Bellevue (East), a Springhill Suites by the Convention Center. There is also a Silver Cloud Inn next to Qwest Stadium/Safeco Field, but I bet that's over 200/night and probably already sold out. Good luck and if you give me some more parameters, maybe I can be more specific. Seattle is an expensive town--not NYC expensive, but definitely SF expensive.

Thanks for the info! It is an all guys trip and we all recently graduated from LSU. So we want to go out and have a good time but can't go too overboard with our spending.

Well, my best hard-core partying days are behind me, but I do enjoy the booze! So, maybe some of the younger types can give you the low-down on Seattle night-life. I think the bars around Pioneer Square are pretty lively.

In any case, get a Zagats guide. Also, I think if you eat ethnic--especially Asian--you will feed yourselves cheaply and well. Seattle is one of my favorite American cities to visit. I hope we have a big W to celelbrate that night!

Have fun!
