In the first quarter there was a shot of the receivers sitting on the bench and each of them was holding a football. Nothing was said about it, but it reminded me of when a coach makes a player carry a football around school all week and having people try to knock it out of his hands.

Did anyone see this or know what it was all about?

Now that you mention this, I do remember seeing Colston on the bench holding a football. I didn't notice any of the other receivers. Very interesting

noticed that. not sure what it was about. i assumed it was some sort of exercise related to the dropped passes. showed later in the game, they no longer were holding the balls, so maybe you have to hold a ball on the sideline until you have a reception in the game. just a guess, and probably wrong.

Saw that myself. I think it's the old "carry the ball constantly with you" to help cure the drops.

Exactly, sounds like we are all thinking along the same line. *S*

T'would be interesting to hear the story cause there HAS to be something to it.

It worked for Devery....................well at least for this week.

I'm for anything that works. Whatever they're doing now, it's working better than whatever they did (or didn't do) before.

Devery should carry one with him into the shower. :hihi:

Seriously, he made two very nice "real NFL WR" type catches yesterday. Indicates to me that (i) he must still be trying hard in practice every day to make himself better and (ii) Payton and Brees are not going to give up on a guy who's still working.

that catch that Devery made yesterday on the sidelines was as good of a catch you could ever hope for. Good job bro

I wish bush would be taught how to carry the ball. I HATE the way he holds the ball.
