What on Netflix are you binge watching? (1 Viewer)

Broadchurch

I broke my arm and needed surgery in 2018. I was off from work for months. This is a show I binged and LOVED it. It's a really slow burn that pays off and KEEPS paying off.

I am watching Resurrection. If you can deal with subtitles because it's in Turkish, then you might find something worthwhile. It's about the rise of the Ottoman Empire. Admittedly it's heavily anti-Christian but to be fair, if the Crusaders had a story about their hero, it would not paint Muslims in a positive light.

Last Kingdom is really good, but Altered Carbon might be my favorite Netflix series.

The books are great if you're looking for something to read. I don't think reading the books would spoil the series at all. I understand the series is supposed to be largely fresh material with some material taken from the books. Either way, I read the first one after watching Season 1 and immediately bought the other two. I didn't put them down until I was finished. The concept of changing sleeves opens a world of never-ending anthologies.
Both are great. Last Kingdom is so compelling. Uhtred is a great character and you find yourself easily pulling for him.

Altered Carbon has SO many levels. each story interesting enough to really be it's own issue. The sleeves, the sex trade, the uber rich dude, just everything is so interesting. Visually stunning, and slow developing but really REALLY interesting.

Finished Another Life (because of the sunk cost fallacy). I really tried my best to like it. Some of the subplots were OK. But most were just...dumb. Like...really dumb.

I finished Season One of Broadchurch. It was impressive, though I had a good idea who the murderer was by episode five or six. Still the finale was intense.

I've watched a few episodes of Te Expanse and decided to read the books. Should I stop watching to avoid spoilers or are they different enough to do both concurrently?

For all of the Blacklisters. I am on Season 5 Ep 20 and I just read that Season 6 should be out in September and Season 7 should be on TV in October.

Santa Clarita Diet. So good, and sadly canceled after season 3.

Sneaky Pete on Amazon Prime is worth a look.

Bryan Cranston helped create it and also co-stars.
