Ok, shirt, which is it - it's not airborne or it is airborne?

It's been proven to be aerosolized.....I'm guessing while singing there was a lot of spit flying

It can float(hang) in the air in moisture, but it's not going to float upwards into air-vents and circulate around.

I changed my diet a few months ago and got my sugar down and lost 40 pounds. I'm trying but hopefully I'm not too little too late kinda deal.

I am right there with ya... Take Metoprolol (beta blocker).. I have changed my diet and been excersinging.. Even if it's a light routine and I am down about 25 pounds. Dropping in pant sizes for sure.. I am so glad that I quit smoking about 10 years ago.

My Mother just celebrated her 77 Birthday.. and she won;t stop running around... She is my biggest worry... Me I am cool with chillin if the money holds out cause I am shut down big time.

Maybe, but aren't we several days, if not up to a week behind in test results? These aren't test results from actually this Saturday and this Sunday, right?
I dont know. I do know the last two Sundays both had downturns before a huge number on Monday. I'm hoping it is real and expecting a pretty large downturn soon but doubt the numbers are right.

NPs and CRNAs can intubate as well, as can paramedics. Not dumping on your post at all, just adding a few things on. Everything you're saying makes sense.

ETA realized not everyone speaks in hospital acronyms, I've just been slowly brainwashed by my wife. NP = nurse practitioner, and CRNAs are anesthetists.

My daughter is in a nursing program in college and is seriously considering a career as an NP.

Somebody might want to tell WHO that.

"I think the WHO is being irresponsible in giving out that information. This misinformation is dangerous," says Dr. Donald Milton, an infectious disease aerobiologist at the University of Maryland's School of Public Health. "

"Based on that, the agency recommends "airborne precautions" when medical workers do those procedures. Otherwise, the WHO says, health care workers caring for COVID-19 patients could use less-protective "droplet and contact precautions."
That troubles Milton, who says so little is known about this new virus, SARS-CoV-2, that it's inappropriate to draw conclusions about how it is transmitted."

"I don't think they know, and I think they are talking out of their hats," Milton says.
He says people like to think that there's some sharp, black-and-white distinction between "airborne" viruses that can linger and float in the air and ones that spread only when embedded in larger moist droplets picked up through close contact, but the reality of transmission is far more nuanced."

"The epidemiologists say if it's 'close contact,' then it's not airborne. That's baloney," he says."

"What's more, one study of hospital rooms of COVID-19 patients found that "swabs taken from the air exhaust outlets tested positive, suggesting that small virus-laden droplets may be displaced by airflows and deposited on equipment such as vents."

I read this story on my news feed......What.A.Tragedy ?

NONE of these folks had symptoms. They had sanitizers at the entrance, they sat apart from each other. Now 2 are dead & a bunch have symptoms. The health dept is trying to figure it out. They said that not one person sneezed or coughed.

So now they are thinking that the deep inhalation & deep exhalation while singing their songs may have released the virus into the air......even though no one had any symptoms.

They are still trying to figure out what happened to these good people.......just sad ?

I agree it’s sad. I think this just drives home the point of everyone staying home more. There is not enough evidence to say it’s safe to be in a room full of people. Hand sanitizer, masks, whatever. Just stay at home for awhile. It’s not that much to ask unless you have a financial Or gathering obligation to provide for your family.

Any word on the effectiveness of the blood plasma therapy in New York?
