Now you're just saying things. No one has ever argued that former Presidents (again, not sure what you think they are possessing in this case) have more power than current ones.

You mean to tell me that everytime a Former President makes a comment of a Current President's term, stance, order or action is not afforded the same weight as the current sitting President? Multiply it by 2 if it takes an opposite stance.

So, one local example, and I wish I knew that this was the case when it was going on live, vs finding out later. I blame my kid for being a bad communicator. ha.

The protest in Fort Lauderdale was quickly organized, in a matter of hours, by BLM and another group. It was originally going to be at Lauderdale by the Sea or Lauderhill, but I guess something blocked that from happening, and they quickly changed to downtown Fort Lauderdale by Huizenga park. I think this was going on around 1-2pm. The march/protest was scheduled for 3-6pm. Everything after 6pm was either people who decided to keep it going, or others who showed up later.

They have a network now to be able to schedule these. So, many of these bad actors, may have known about what was going on in Miami and been in the area, already were in the area to be 'stationed' just in case, or do live around here and came out of the woodwork.

So, I'm not shocked the local community was able to organize fast. I'm shocked how fast 'bad actors' could jump in and disrupt.

Part of my argument against my kid going to the event (#1 was how stupid they've all ended up; tear gas, etc), was that he'd be just another White kid wanting to scream at police, voicing his opinion, blocking the voices of others, potentially upsetting a cop (or worse, a jacked up meat head), and leaving that community to deal with it later. I'd rather he write letters to the local police and sheriffs to ask about their policies, and/or demand change.

Amazing the differences between protests. The New Orleans protests were so peaceful.

I know, I know, can't be political, etc., but apparently the official response of the United States to all of this will be...to blame state governors for not using more force against their citizens.

You wonder why the Admin doesn't want him to put out a statement...

and this is him "working on solutions".

Get ready to be be peppered and tear gassed in your homes everyone! yay!

I don’t think so. I keep hearing about officers being fired over some of their insane behavior during these protests......as they should be.

Some cops are too dense to realize they are being observed on national TV, as if their sociopathic behavior won’t be noticed.
It's been two fired in Atlanta and I would wager their union gets them back on in less than a year. That's essentially it. DeBlasio excused the NYPD and all their nonsense and now San Jose's Chief gave the most halfhearted rebuke to their officer Jared Yuen for his antics on camera. Nothing of consequence will happen. There have been countless videos of police getting away with some serious misconduct. I'm also not sure of how it can be excused based simply upon the amount of journalists attacked, you know, on camera.

Then name the statement. Go ahead.

Every media clip of a Former President commenting on the actions of a Current President? Cross-Party, Same Party. It doesn't matter. From meme's to actual comments. If a Prior President doesn't agree with a Current President that is the story that runs for it's 15 mins of spotlight until the next comment is made.

From "Thanks Obama" to "Miss me Yet" to Regan/Bush commenting of Clinton's Impeachment to Clinton bashing Bush's response to Hurricane Katrina to Obama Bashing Trump on multiple occasions. It is not party specific but it is politics.

Times are changing.......Americans are fed up with sociopathic nonsense.

Because this President has fascist tendencies and would try to exert his influence over private businesses.

I don't know why, but we seem to have issues understanding each other.

I was joking. Kind of a riff on the idea that MK Ultra used Catcher in the Rye to track subjects. I get that the President doesn't care about any individual rights and, despite the fact that he claims to be a conservative, actually wants private businesses to bend to his will.

And, although it was a joke, the truth is that it's entirely possible that the NSA and CIA keep track of who orders certain books. Some of it for legitimate anti-terrorism reasons, but also because we more or less live in a Police State. It's just that it's a Police State with nice window coverings and floors. That is, if you are white.

Vagueries? That's all you've got? Surely you're basing a personally held belief on more than that?
