Believe It Or Not, A "Greatest American Hero" Movie (1 Viewer)

I never saw this show at all. Believe that or not. I don’t even really remember commercials for it although the perm guy in the red pants looks vaguely familiar. Wasn’t he in House.

I remember watching the show. I was an odd duck tho. :hihi:

I believe Connie Seleca was in it too. It sounds like it will be a parody, which might actually make it a decent movie.

Yeah, the banned names threw me for a loop for a sec. Lol.

But yeah, I don't remember the movie ever getting made.

Got stuck in Development Hell (when a movie is still technically "in development" but no real progress is happening and it probably won't get made). Then a few years ago they filmed a pilot for an all-female led rebooted series starring Hannah Simone from The New Girl. It was supposed to air on ABC, but they pulled the plug on it at the last minute due to perceived lack of interest and it died.

It's just me .... but I believe you.

I don't remember watching the show but I can sing the theme song. Not as well as my BFF, though. She was just telling me the other day how often, for no reason, she starts singing the song.

believe it or not, that song peaked on the hits charts at number 2. We heard it on the radio A LOT. So, I never even knew it was associated with TV and yet could sing every word. I always thought it was an 80s cheese love song.
In 1981 I was part of a neighborhood gang running the neighborhood until well after dark. We were some bad....ly parented kids. But there was no TV for me.

I’d guess the ‘reason’ is that the song starts with a very used idiom
If you can hear someone say ‘believe it or not’ and not start singing the song then you need to remove yourself from my lawn

Kinda like whenever someone says ‘I know this much is true’ and i immediately think “Did you just go Spandau Ballet on me??”
