No way.... Smart guy
It’s not that high. 1-10 would be a 3 at the lowest and 6 at it’s very best. You have to go by what you have seen on film and it’s not that good. Teams know how to play him and they will force him into making bad decisions. Just look at that video. You gotta make quick , but intelligent decisions with the football. Payton hates turning the ball over and I can see Kamara with over a 1000 yards rushing as soon as the picks start. Payton will run run run and play ball control.
I agree, and DB was the best in the league for a decade. JW I'm not so concerned about at this point, but Kamara usually dominates us so lets see if JW can benefit from it. To be honest, I see Payton putting Hill in after game 4. Your D is solid as usual...I see us wining "one" more game than you. Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate you engaging in earnest conversation.
The Bucs on paper and defending SB champs are going to be the pre-season favorite to win the division. And they've had the resources to keep the team intact. My gut feeling is that they'll suffer from post-champ overconfidence. Every team brushes it off, but it seems to happen more times than not. We'll see.
The Saints have a lot of unanswered questions - significant roster turnover especially in the loss of depth. I can't get a good feel for how the team will perform at the moment. I do feel that we'll be in a good battle with TB for the division again this season.
Keyser Soze!I cant wait for the responses from the usual suspects.
Also the only Saints QB aside from Brees to win a playoff game. Not all of us hate the guy or devalue what he was able to accomplish with a MASH unit on offense and a defense that fell apart vs. the defending Champs.I see payton and jameis fixing much of hte interception problem. In correcting , he already has stated much of how is fixing it in the thought process.. Thing is being able to stick with that thought process when bullets fly and instincts take over. you have to train it enough that it is instinctual or old habits show up in bad situations.
Payton has proven track record of lowering a high turnover rate. tiki, kerry collins, and so on.
but, one thing that really bugs me, and for one that says football smart.. how the heck, he decide to use 2 as his roster number, knowing the history here. mr smiles /laughs after interception..
That is such BS. Winston has been known to have a great football mind, since college. He dazzled GMs at the combine with the Xs and Os. Winston has by far the better football mind of the QBs in camp.According to some on here, JW has “low football IQ”.
To be fair, he did say "takes chances" it's possible he's witnessed some really boneheaded dropped INTs that don't show up on the stat sheet.Jameis Winston Redzone TD to INT ratio - Best in NFL 20 to 1 TD ( Brady is 2nd , Rodgers 3rd , Mahomes 4th )

Very true. He has a superior football IQ. You'll see itThat is such BS. Winston has been known to have a great football mind, since college. He dazzled GMs at the combine with the Xs and Os. Winston has by far the better football mind of the QBs in camp.

No....... he is that confident he can make all the throws. Sean will set Winston up for success. He will work to have people open, just like he did with Drew, Teddy, and Taysom. Winston never had that at TB. Instead, he had 4 coaches in 5yrs. You have to learn and relearn termonolgy from 4 different coaches. He is plenty football smart! Winston has always tried to carry the team himself. Sean is not going to do that to him. What Winston soaked up from Drew/Sean is to play within the system, and let the play makers make the play. Just take what they give you, and take shots down field when you get the look you want. So, what you're saying is that even though he understands the defense and he knows that throwing the ball into double coverage is a bad idea when there's another receiver open underneath for a short gain, he does it anyway knowing that there is a high chance it will be intercepted verses a high chance of a completion for positive yardage? I don't know if I can handle a QB that smart.
...I'm just being a intelligent arse and not really being serious.

INT wasn't the issue. It was having to take field goals during most of his tenure Talking J
Good to a Read about a TB Fans take about JWs career there -as we all know you can’t trust the Media about any of thisLong time Buc fan here.
Honest analysis:
Solid QB
Student of the game and smart
Great arm strength, but has too much confidence, and always believes he can beat the coverage which gets him in trouble.
Very loose with the ball and takes chances at critical times in red zone
Accuracy is a little inconstant but stunningly accurate at times
Moves very well in the pocket
Effective team leader and the guys in the locker room like him
Will do better this season in tandem with Hill.
Kamara will help him succeed in play action.
Payton will maximize his abilities.
Win the division again, don't think so but it will be close. Saints have our number, big time!
