As scary as massive violent tornadoes are in the day time, they're about to become multiple times more frightening in just a bit when the sun goes down.

You are correct. Unfortunately these storms are moving into a richer environment rather than a diminished one you would see normally after the sun goes down,

Channel 5 guy in the field says he’s seeing cool outflow - which is a good sign for trending down from tornadoes instead of up.
