Sneaux next week [Historic snowstorm in southeast Louisiana on January 21, 2025]

The cancelled school for Tuesday, and if we get any accumulation Wednesday looks likely as well.

I ain't getting out in that sheet. I may not even get out of bed.
Still waiting for my parish to call it for Tuesday and we're right in the middle of the forecasted snow.

It finally looks like the snow forecast for south Louisiana is starting to moderate a bit. Two days ago nearly every weather outlet was predicting up to 5 inches of snow. Now they are all calling for a max accumulation of up to 3 inches. While there may be some isolated areas that get more snow, the real issue will be if the roads get icy. It sure won’t take much of that stuff to really make a mess of things.

No doubt most folks down here will get a light dusting of snow on top of the ice. And that will be nice as long as folks don’t try to drive around in it.

Not in the BR area. Locals are still say short of 6" of accumulation.
