Yeah, if it was once, I would have just said eh, did he actually do that?...but he did it twice in exactly the same manner, so there was no mistaking what he was doing. Anyone thinking it wasn't intentional is being willfully dishonest.I've been thinking about musk's salute for a while. I've come to the conclusion that i think it was intentional (i don't know how anyone could mistakenly do a nazi salute, it's ingrained in our society, and i just don't see how you could get carried away and do one) and planned. The only thing that makes sense to me is he planned to do it in such a way that he had plausible deniability and to troll people.
I've watched the whole clip. It doesn't get better when i see two nazi salutes.
Let's also not forget his history of antisemitic rhetoric.

i've resigned to mostly check out of the outrageYeah, I think he was trolling as well - sort of the 4Chan clowning that he thinks is so clever and funny because of the reaction it gets but that's certainly a very juvenile, unserious conduct from someone who we're supposed to believe is so important.
At the same time, he does indeed have a history that, if anything, would shade in favor of the kind of viewpoint that supports Nazism or some elements of it. He very recently supported the AfD, which has its own history of trivializing the criticism of Nazism if not outright supporting it.
Is it one or the other? Or a little of both? The silliest, most absurd thing is the people (who at least take themselves seriously) going out there on the news trying to tell us to our faces that it wasn't what it very clearly was.

'they' feed on the oxygen of outrage and faux victimization - I don't want to give them oxygen
what I will be doing is immediately looking to see what the other hand is doing when the right hand is making a Nazi salute
not sure how calculated it all is - but there's a remarkable consistency to 'them' doing something showy outrageous to keep attention off the actual pernicious but boring thing that is happening on the DL

I totally agree he knew what he was doing. That was not "from the heart" or "spur of the moment". The question to me would be - WHY? Does the richest man in the world get his rocks off pulling this type of stunt? He absolutely knew it would cause an uproar from some. Just a troll job, tho......I dunno. I kinda agree it's to distract everyone from something else.i've resigned to mostly check out of the outrage

Without going into politics, this whole time in America is somewhat surreal. It's like we are completely falling into a trap. With our eyes open.
Do a side by side video, I dare you.
I watched both, they are not the same, lol.

Giving the Heil Hitler salute is not a reach for Musk and his anti-Semitic views. It would be a big reach for any of the others.I watched them too. People see what they want to see man. In a thread full of people bashing Musk what do you think they are going to see?
You watched the actual video clips of those other still photos? And compared them to the actual video clip of Musk? And you still think "people see what they want to see"? So, a still photo of someone waving, compared to a video of someone slapping his chest and thrusting his hand out palm down are a matter of perspective to you? Seriously?I watched them too.
