Take this poll: Should the Saints take a late round flier on Kyron Lacy

If Lacy falls to the late rounds, should the Saints draft him?

He's an UDFA or nothing.
Wouldn’t spend draft capital on someone who 50/50 chance he never plays an NFL down because of character/judgment issues.
Being from Thibodaux, and knowing more about this situation a little bit better than most, we should definitely grab him if he’s there in the last 3 rounds. The case for negligent homicide is skewed at best, and he is represented by Matthew Ory, probably the best attorney on the bayou. It’s a careless operation, leaving the scene at worst. We saw how Rashee Rice was punished.

I don't know him personally, but I do know some of his family. I know the allegations against him are serious and we will have to see how all that plays out......but I've heard nothing but good things about the kid. You can make a horrific decision and still be a good person.

I would be totally fine taking a flyer on him, but generally speaking, Loomis steers clear of those type players.

Does he? We have Granderson on the team and he went hard after The Predator Watson.

I would give Lacy a chance.

Production at LSU was a huge let down. Add to that the off field stuff and it’s a no for any round before the 7th or a UDFA. Nothing about his production screams early to mid round pick. Even if he was clean off the field he’s a late round guy.
Not for nothing, but this past year Nuss was slinging the ball to 5-6 (sometimes 7) different guys, and Kyren still put up 900 yards and 9 TDs.

if he didn't go to LSU then y'all wouldn't want him so much

The guy is 6' 2" and 213 lbs. He just ran a 4.5 40 and he had nearly 900 yards and 9 TDs in what everyone thought was a disappoint year in the SEC. Nobody is saying take him in the first or even the 2nd. But as a mid-to-late round pick he's a good option. He'd probably go in the 3rd if not for his legal issues, so you might be able to get him very late which would be great for a guy with that much talent from a big program with a history of turning out NFL WRs. And FWIW, I have concerns about his concentration and commitment to being great. And that shows up in some occasional bad drops and lackluster route running.

And, I'd feel the same about him if he went to say Ohio State.

You act like people on this board don't know or talk about other players that went to other schools. Basically every prospect is talked about here and everyone has their favorites as high round picks or guys they would take flyers on in later rounds that fell for performance, injury, or legal issues.

His situation creates a great opportunity for a high value pick in the later rounds. I think because he played for LSU we are more aware of his abilities and what a steal he could potentially be as a late round pick.

But sure, I'm a little bit of a homer, but he's was projected top 50 pick, now he may go undrafted or very late.

Don’t really get the pattern of bad or negative behavior option in the poll. Kyren a least to my knowledge didn’t have anything illegal going on with the law at his prior college or at LSU. Don’t know all the circumstances of what happened but or whether he’s actually guilty of what was accused. Innocent until proven guilty and the evidence is brought forth against him. I’d say he’s a third round type talent who you my take a chance on in the 5-6 round due to situation pending.
