Just kinda stating the obvious here…My favorite thing about this not quite official yet hire, Kellen Moore knows the QB position. More specifically, he knows how to COACH the QB position and put them in position to play well.

There are many who credit fourth round draft pick Dak Prescott’s early success to Kellen Moore. I think he should be given the opportunity to develop a QB. If he likes one of our 3rd day guys, cool. But is he likes a guy in the class, get him one. I’m on record for thinking Will Howard is a potential value selection, assuming he doesn’t fly up the draft boards. The ole Miss QB Dart could be really interesting too. Honestly, any young QB would be exciting.

He did awesome things with Barkley so he’s not a one trick pony. He showed he can build an offense around the best players, which is remarkable. But that said, I’m most excited about what he’ll do with a QB.

I’m all for Moore developing a QB, but Prescott came into the league hot, winning rookie of the year honors two years before Moore was coaching. Wade Wilson was his QB coach the first two years.

Herbert had his worst year under Moore.

Bro the entire Eagles offensive roster is stacked. Two top tier recievers, top tier RB, pro bowl BQ, and the best OLine.

Cheap Marcus Mariota/Spencer Rattler combo and then draft the future in a year

I'm not even a one trick pony and I could design plays for Barkley running behind the Eagle's OL, two top notch WRs, stud TE, with the threat of Hurts to peel out and burn you on every given play.

Not taking anything at all away from Moore. He's a huge part of what brought them to the promised land, but that roster doesn't need much scheming to be effective. I'd love to see what he could
do with a leaky flag-riddled OL, no WR1, WR2, a WR3 that was unemployed 2/3' the way through the season, no stud TE, with the threat that Carr will run forward or backward and be out the next 6
or 7 games on any given play and you have to start one of two (or both) arguably elite scout team QBs. Think he could Alvin passed the QB before being touched once or twice a game? If he can scheme around all
that, he's gonna love this place.

Interesting enough, the worst offensive DVOA ranking for the Eagles since Hurts became a starter was this year (13th overall).

I think working with whats in the building already and maybe adding a cheap FA like your suggesting could be the right move in his first year. We aren't in the position to go get one of the top QBs in this years draft and I don't think this would be the year to trade up and do it anyway. I think Rattler still deserves a fair shot and would prob be easier for Moore to work with. I also think Carr is good enough to get us to the playoffs with enough health and support around him, but if Moore wants a cleaner slate to work with then I have no problem with that.

Solved. Trade for Baby Cam Newton in Joe Milton III, 6'5 250lbs. Dude is a straight monster. Give him WR1 T-Mac WR2 Shaheed WR3 Olave TE Fanning Jr., our defense would be trash but our offense would be second to none in the league.

With our division with a little luck we would be in contention next year, and with a true dual threat qb our OL doesn't need to be perfect.

I'm on board the hire but who has he coached up at the position, all the guys he's worked with were established vets starters.

but yet they were second in rushing, you play to your strengths
The Eagles have been top 5 in rushing DVOA every year since Hurts has taken over as starter, they were 6th this year. I wouldn’t say 6th is bad, but the Eagles have been a successful running team for years before he got there. They didn’t go from 18th or 22nd to 6th.

That’s not to say Moore can’t be successful here, I just think he has benefitted a lot from coaching teams/QB’s with talent rather than being some offensive savant. Besides, we aren’t looking for an OC, we’re looking for a HC.

Can he build a talented team and a winning culture from the ground up? That’s the ultimate mission, which goes beyond calling plays for already talented teams. The play calling will essentially take care of itself with the right players and team culture. Watch the Lions continue to cruise on offense and the Bears continue to struggle on offense even though Johnson moved from one team to another. I also expect the Eagles to field another top rushing team with Moore in another city.

Not really, Herbet was hurt for 4 games in 23, he really had a worse yr in 22

You could say Dak, Dak came in hot but then fizzled. Moore took over as QB coach in 18. Then in 19 took over as OC and Dak had maybe his best yrs in 19 and 20
