Kellen Moore is a QB whisperer (9 Viewers)

Solved. Trade for Baby Cam Newton in Joe Milton III, 6'5 250lbs. Dude is a straight monster. Give him WR1 T-Mac WR2 Shaheed WR3 Olave TE Fanning Jr., our defense would be trash but our offense would be second to none in the league.

With our division with a little luck we would be in contention next year, and with a true dual threat qb our OL doesn't need to be perfect.
with what OL?

I'm on board the hire but who has he coached up at the position, all the guys he's worked with were established vets starters.
Moore was QB2 when Dak was drafted. Dak got his opportunity when both Moore and Romo were injured in the training camp/preseason. Moore mentored Dak from the moment he was drafted. He was so good in fact that they made him QB coach and then later OC.

Can he build a talented team and a winning culture from the ground up? That’s the ultimate mission, which goes beyond calling plays for already talented teams. The play calling will essentially take care of itself with the right players and team culture. Watch the Lions continue to cruise on offense and the Bears continue to struggle on offense even though Johnson moved from one team to another. I also expect the Eagles to field another top rushing team with Moore in another city.
Ultimately this is the same thing we were wanting Sean Payton to do when he took over as head coach. The Saints weren’t swimming in talent and there was no clear direction indicating what would work best for the players we had on hand.

We knew that Sean had to start over, and we as fans were willing to give him the time to do so. Of course a lot of the reason we were so accommodating as fans is because we didn’t have a real standard to live up to at the time. We also were ecstatic that we even had a team to cheer for after Katrina ravaged the city and its economy.

Payton caught lightning in a bottle with a handful of great drafts and free agents… and got the extra shot in the arm of having the rebirth game against the Falcons and an instant trip to the NFC Championship game. It was a whirlwind of excitement from the very start of his tenure.

I believe that Moore will not receive the same leeway as Sean got. The expectations will be higher along with the demands of the job. If Moore accepts the job, I just hope everyone gives him the time needed to work out his plan. We must not expect another miracle hiring like we had in 2006.

Ofcourse not. Payton won the division and went to the NFC championship game in year 1. That's buys you a lot of leeway which he got.

Just kinda stating the obvious here…My favorite thing about this not quite official yet hire, Kellen Moore knows the QB position. More specifically, he knows how to COACH the QB position and put them in position to play well.

There are many who credit fourth round draft pick Dak Prescott’s early success to Kellen Moore. I think he should be given the opportunity to develop a QB. If he likes one of our 3rd day guys, cool. But is he likes a guy in the class, get him one. I’m on record for thinking Will Howard is a potential value selection, assuming he doesn’t fly up the draft boards. There are some other really interesting QBs too. Honestly, any young QB would be exciting.

He did awesome things with Barkley so he’s not a one trick pony. He showed he can build an offense around the best players, which is remarkable. But that said, I’m most excited about what he’ll do with a QB.
Nobody has ever said he’s a quarterback whisperer. Funny how when we sign a player or coach they turn into the great thing. This is an ok hire. But we’ll just have to see how it plays out.

Does anybody think Moore might be sneaking in a little Saints film work in the middle of the night?
I hope not, especially not this week. He needs to be worrying about Jones and that Chief's defense. We are not a quick fix.

I would hope not. That’s not the kind of coach I would want. If we were in the Super Bowl and one of the coaches wasn’t 110% committed the that game how would you feel?

I don't know for sure, the fact that he's in the facility of the team he's expected to be named HC of makes it a little different situation.
