Not much of a poster but I lurk a lot. I’ve been diagnosed with pseudomyxoma Peritonei (cancer stemming from the appendix). Very rare cancer at a diagnosis rate of roughly 1/1,000,000. I head to Wake Forest Baptist Medical center for the “mother of all surgeries” (cytoreductive surgery/HIPEC cemotherapy) on the 18th. A friend contacted the Saints and told them what I had going on and that I was a big fan. From what he says, after he found who he needed to talk to, they were right on board with sending me some stuff I’m not sure what it will he but the simple fact of them taking the time to send anything with gearing up for the combine, FA, and upcoming draft is amazing to me. Just makes it even easier to be a fan of this organization. WHO DAT!

I hate to hear this for you but will say a prayer for you. Know that this board is very tight and will be sending you good thoughts, vibes, prayers, and general support. I've seen it over the years. It's impressive what this group can do for friends. Take care.

So sorry for your diagnosis. Praying for you and all the doctors, nurses and medical staff that you will need. May God grant them wisdom and may He have mercy upon you and meet every one of your needs.

Blessings for strength, courage, comfort and peace. God bless you and your loved ones.

Reminder sorry to hear about the bad news. But stay strong and beat this! You know we are here for you if/when you need to talk!

I am familiar with the hipec procedure...it has saved lives of people I know, who are now cancer free, and cured, as per the oncologist. My friend was stage 4, and hipec saved her life, and she is enjoying her grandkids, and is able to live her life cancer free. best wishes to you as you go through the procedure.

Sending good thoughts and best wishes!
